The Fox is a traditional 17th century Cotswold inn, next to the River Windrush, offering accommodation and delicious homemade seasonal dishes. The pub was taken over in early 2022 by the team behind The Angel at Burford who look forward to welcoming you.

    Excellent Sunday roast for a family of 9. Good size portions, plenty of sides included and served piping hot. Great location and cozy warm inside. Fab.

    Great location particularly on an Autumn Sunday when the colours of the countryside looked wonderful. Well cooked roast lunch with good flavours. All served in a very friendly and professional way. Thoroughly recommend and will return when next in the area.

    Great evening, four of us all enjoyed starters and mains. The kitchen was happy to cook the fish without batter for my daughter. No room for puds. Service was great ambience was great. We will definitely return for more!

    As ever, the food and service excellent. Our friends booked on the evening for Christmas Eve so that’s a sure sign how good it is.

    We ordered different meals and each of us thoroughly enjoyed what we chose. Absolutely no doubts about the quality of the food and the menu was nicely varied without being too fussy. Nice portion sizes, full without being over faced with food. The service was great, friendly but unobtrusive. I found the atmosphere cosy. Will revisit.
