   2nd visit as live in Edinburgh, family is still in Newcastle, there with my lovely mum after theatre, amazing service and food, highly recommended

   Fabulous meal at French Quarter highly recommend for amazing service Food was superb as always and excellent value We celebrated a birthday and the candle at the end of service was lovely Can’t wait to return

   Food,atmosphere and service absolutely excellent! I didn’t catch the name of the Scottish chap who looked after us but he was incredibly diligent. We talked to a couple who were spending a few days in Newcastle who described it as a “hidden gem” which I think is absolutely right.

   We loved the ethos of “The French Quarter” Great knowledge of the wine and food Friendly staff and such a quirky wee restaurant We would definitely recommend a night out here

   First time dining here, and I was very impressed. I was a bit apprehensive at first as I had never really been to a French restaurant before. I had the jambon (ham) charcuterie with some bread (plain and tomato with olive oil). This was shared between 2 people. Then we had chicken stew and beef strips. Everything was beautifully cooked and served quite quickly. We also had the red wine flight as well as water. All the staff were friendly and helpful. I would recommend this to other people as a nice independent restaurant away from the chains selling the same food.
