The French Quarter is a relaxed neighbourhood restaurant & wine Bar in a community of unique and quirky businesses in Newcastle city Centre. We are a friendly and approachable team of people, with a passion for the good things in life. Born from nostalgia for a traditional style of commerce and a desire to challenge perceptions that French dining is formal or fussy, we work with independent suppliers to offer a regularly changing wine list & tapas style menu. We have created a casual and sociable environment where customers are invited to experience our food, try our wines, shop from our deli and share our love of all things French!

Great food and really nice people - the menu is excellent with a mix of great French dishes. We love the use of local suppliers for example in drinks choices alongside more exotic choices too. Thank you.

A really decent place for an evening meal. The service is excellent, friendly and knowledgeable. The food was excellent, good variety of choice and dishes all came together where needed. I could argue that one or two could've been a bit hotter. Drink options very good, ambience of the place was fine, might've preferred slightly more comfy seats! Minor quibbles, we will definitely be back and will happily recommend to others.

We are regulars at French Quarter which has never disappointed. We were there last night for my husband's birthday and it was just lovely - he felt very special!

In my opinion…..still remains the best restaurant in Newcastle. Quality of food is fantastic combined with excellent service.

First time here and thoroughly enjoyed what we had: meats, fish skewers and duck. Caanot fault any aspect of the experience. Well done one and all.

The usual fabulous and great value set lunch. Consistently excellent food with sensible but satisfying portions. Wonderful staff and surroundings. One of the best places to eat in the North East.
