The Friendly Society is Elora's best-loved neighborhood restaurant. The decor is romantic yet rustic, the vibe is hip and comfortable, and the atmosphere is always welcoming. It is located on the river, steps from the Elora Mill, with a licensed patio and live music in the summer.

Chef Marc Gebran offers classic elevated comfort food with a focus on local and seasonal ingredients. Our well-stocked bar offers a wide range of beers, a lovingly-curated wine list, and a full cocktail menu.

Highlights include Sunday brunch, summer cocktails on the patio, a romantic date night, and dinner with friends.

    Overall - great little place. Only comment would be to advise customers that there are super step stairs down to the establishment. So - when taking your 80yo Mom out for lunch… not ideal. They are limited by the heritage of the building / but it should be known that this is definitely not mobility friendly.

    Great night in Elora at this awesome restaurant. Great service and so well decorated for Xmas. Will be back again before the season is over

    Great service and food. We went for a business lunch and it was perfect. Lots of food options and they have options for gluten free which is nice

    we were there for the Sunday all you can eat brunch. The food portions were nice and small for all you can eat, but the food was just OK. Our server didnt come around Once to our table voluntarily to offer coffee we had to ask other servers. She was mostly chatting with her co-workers rather than checking in on her guests.

    It was a snug little place but that’s what made it cozy. The food was quite enjoyable. Went for a girls Christmas brunch which it was a great choice. Def recommend.
