Gaslight is an open concept bar, restaurant, and live music venue serving some of the best food Nantucket has to offer. The cuisine, from Chef Liam Mackey (The Nautilus), has a Japanese Izakaya vibe where you'll find a variety of haute street food style pan-Asian cuisine include noodles, rice dishes, bao buns, raw fish, skewers, dumplings, and more. The bar program, curated by Clinton Terry (The Nautilus) features a variety of fresh ingredient forward cocktails with culinary inspired themes, and rotating craft beers on tap. The wine list leans towards fun, funky, natural w/ a twist of the classic plus the island's only Champagne Vending machine (thank you Moët). The atmosphere is lively, the staff is friendly, the location in the heart of downtown Nantucket can't be beat, and the live music starts every night in the summer around 1030pm, featuring both local and off-island acts with high name recognition. Gaslight is the place to be!
It was our first time at the Gaslight. Asian infused dishes were anywhere from solid to excellent. I particularly enjoyed the lemongrass shrimp / pasta dish. The tequila / ginger drink was also excellent. With that said, it is essentially bar food in a bar environment. So, important to be clear on your expectations.
