The George pays homage to the historic Georgian Room, a Seattle icon since 1924. Designed by renowned Spanish studio Lázaro Rosa-Violán, the space blends history with timeless aesthetics. Hand-painted tiles, Art Deco chandeliers, and marble floors enhance the ambiance, while floor-to-ceiling iron and glass doors and original Palladian windows complete the vision. Food was good but service was horrible. We came with 9 people and the food took almost an hour and 20 mins. Our waiter was also the only bartender for the whole place. He never came to ask us if we were okay nor apologize for the delay. They could’ve offered us bread or something. I even had to get up to ask for water. The hostess ashley was the saving grace. She apologized for everything and took our pictures while we waited for the food but I felt like that was a form of distraction. It’s return for our trouble, they allowed us to split the bill individually. Luckily the food was good but I won’t be going back with a large group. The waiter knew he’d be receiving a 20% so thats we believe that’s why he chose not to put in the effort. Each person spent an average of $100.

This was our third time and again, very uneven. Some of the service was amazing, as were some of the dishes. But the hostess at the front was incredibly rude and inattentive. Also, the bread was quite stale and my beef was tough and cooked through. The bibb lettuce salad with crab and foie gras terrine were both excellent and our server and the supporting waitstaff outside the hostess at the front were wonderful. We will probably return but it continues to be too hit or miss to justify dining here regularly as a local.

Main arrived before starter. Waitstaff never asked about quality of food. Restaurant wasn’t crowded and seemed understaffed.

Had such a lovely time at The George. Our server was divine, helpful, and super accommodating. Lovely ambiance and overall a terrific experience!

We had a wonderful experience and enjoyed dinner after a show after the Symphony. The receptionist could not find my reservation even with my confirmation email. However they still accommodated and were able to seat us quickly. The food was delicious and our server Gary was fantastic.

The George boasts an undeniably stunning ambience—elegant, spacious, and with a vibe that feels both luxurious and inviting. The service was attentive, and the setting alone makes for a great dining experience. However, the food itself? Just fair, and certainly not worth the $135 per plate price tag. (Valentine's dinner) I get that part of what you're paying for is the atmosphere, but at this price point, the food should be at least memorable. Instead, it felt like an afterthought. The flavors were decent, but nothing stood out as exceptional or worth returning for at that cost. If you're looking for a place to impress with its aesthetics and experience, The George delivers. But if food is your priority, there are much better options in Seattle at this price—or even much lower. Would I go back? Maybe for a drink at the bar to soak in the atmosphere. But for a full dinner? The food needs to step up before I'd justify that expense again.

It's really pretty but food is very average! Last time I had a pretty raw fish steak that my husband still laughs at me now, this time my mashed potatoes and chicken were very unsalted. We keep coming back here only because of the ambience and because I keep convincing my husband it's OKish, but it's not... Beef tartare was really good though!

I made a brunch reservation for 8. It was a delightful experience because they were able to seat us in the private dining room. It was perfect because it gave us plenty of room for bridal proposal boxes, brunch, and conversation. Everything was delicious from the mimosas to Dungeness crab toast.
