The Grand Marlin Restaurant features a main dining area with a shucked to order oyster bar, exterior North Drop Bar overlooking Grand Lagoon, and private meeting rooms. This Panama City Beach restaurant, with an air of island casualness, serves the highest-quality cuisine, including the freshest local seafood featured on menus designed and printed daily to take advantage of the local bounty. The atmosphere creates a fusion of the Caribbean and the Panama City Beach Area. Corporate Executive Chef Gregg McCarthy has a passion for great-tasting food and particularly loves working his culinary magic with fresh Gulf Coast seafood. Boaters and beach-goers feel comfortable in shorts and flip-flops at the oyster bar, in the dining room and at the North Drop Bar. The Grand Marlin has a space and atmosphere for all occasions and is looking forward to creating an authentic experience between time and tide.

We had the grouper piccata and the Gulf shrimp creamy pesto pasta, and they were both excellent! Server was outstanding, but we had to wait a little long for dessert, check, etc, but she was very sweet and competent. We would go back, no question!

The service and food were outstanding. We arrived earlier than our reservation with the thought we would sit at the bar for a cocktail and watch the sunset but they kindly offered to take us to our table where we could view the sunset and proceed with our dinner order. Dustin, our waiter, quickly came to our table to offer his services and begin taking our order. He was helpful and informative about the menu and their nightly specials. He provided some of his favorites as well as favorites of others who have dined at the Grand Marlin. We would definitely dine there again if we are ever in Panama City Beach.

They were nice enough to even print out happy anniversary on our menus! The grouper piccata and Seafood gumbo were great. They also treated us to an amazing dessert, we were very pleased.

There were 6 people at the front desk when we arrived and ALL were super rude and unfriendly. We had a reservation and based on the dismal greeting we almost left. They literally all stood there and stared at us and then made faces at eachother, like we were bothering them. It was not the way to start a spendy meal. Our server was so so. Not friendly but not rude .

Grouper entree was delicious and Kimberly did a fabulous job serving us while sharing some good menu options as this was our first visit. Would definitely come back.

4 of us went out for my birthday. We were seated by the water and tables were quite close together. There was a loud rowdy crowd of people across from us that made conversation difficult. The apps - Caesar salad, calamari and wedge salad were all delicious. However 3 of us had the grouper and the crust on it was crispy but the fish was overcooked- but still tasty. Potatoes and spinach were great! Mu hubby had the cioppino and found the sauce heavy and acidic - very red wine forward! Fish was cooked perfectly. The desserts in the nut baskets were delicious! We will return!

We come down from Nashville every 3-4 months and always end our vacation with dinner at The Grand Marlin. As always it does not disappoint. From the oysters to the crab cakes and Alamo , everything was spot on! Special thank you to our waitress Emily for taking special care to make our nieces 18th birthday so very special.
