The Grand Marlin Restaurant features a main dining area with a shucked to order oyster bar, exterior North Drop Bar overlooking Grand Lagoon, and private meeting rooms. This Panama City Beach restaurant, with an air of island casualness, serves the highest-quality cuisine, including the freshest local seafood featured on menus designed and printed daily to take advantage of the local bounty. The atmosphere creates a fusion of the Caribbean and the Panama City Beach Area. Corporate Executive Chef Gregg McCarthy has a passion for great-tasting food and particularly loves working his culinary magic with fresh Gulf Coast seafood. Boaters and beach-goers feel comfortable in shorts and flip-flops at the oyster bar, in the dining room and at the North Drop Bar. The Grand Marlin has a space and atmosphere for all occasions and is looking forward to creating an authentic experience between time and tide.

We are from out of town and came here just based on my research and ratings. It was FABULOUS. Our waiter, Hunter, was exceptional. We were celebrating my husband’s birthday and it was amazing. The food is top-notch- the wine too! Everyone, when in Panama City Beach, needs to make this restaurant a go-to!

The food taste like fast food Carelessly cooked served in a sloppy yucky presentation while the our servers have no clue how to make the diners eat it without complaining. I had the rib eye, wrong uneven cook temperature and I saw many other diners sending the food back, but I was honestly embarrassed for the waiters to do so as well. Barely edible. Don’t waste your money.

I made reservations for 4 at 5:30pm and it was very busy when we arrived. We were seated at a table by the server station and register. The noise level was significant and we had to really talk directly to that person to be heard! The drinks were all $10 or more. Our food was good but small portions. I ordered the Gulf Shrimp Creamy Pesto Pasta and I believe there were only 4-5 shrimp and only a few quarter size peices of squash in it. The sauce was very good. My husband had the Mahi Mahi for $38 and he was still hungry afterwards! The creme brulee for dessert was excellent.

This was our third trip to Panama Beach and our third time to dine at The Grand Marlin. We enjoyed good food and drink. We also bought some more hot sauce from the gift shop. The server was very good and timely in checking in on us. The table behind us was a group outing and they were a bit noisy, especially when the broke the bottle of hot sauce. We will go back again, and I recommend the restaurant frequently.

Lots of people- a very popular spot. Our waiter warned us the kitchen was taking a while, but we (a party of two) waited less than a 1/2 hour. All fishes were delicious. I wish they had the tuna dip- maybe next time!
