   My wife’s meal took almost an hour to arrive and after i complained to 4 different wait staff. Totally screwed up the birthday !! They did apologise but this definitely should not have occurred!! They adjusted the bill to compensate but we would rather the service was better. They screwed up our celebration!

   The cafe was really loud to enjoy the ambiance - but that’s fine, the food offering was average (unless you’re going there for Tea and cakes) the service was ok. I sat there while both my friends meal arrived, two tables beside me who arrived and ordered after me received their food, mine was nowhere to be seen. When I questioned it, with confusion and a wrong meal, my meal came out and it was warm. No apology or explanation. I flew from Melbourne to experience this cafe and I must say, it was a disappointment.

   We were so excited for Claris Mouse visit and we went to go inside the entrance and we were ushered straight into the cafe instead of the themed room so the vibe was gone straight away. Then I thought we would walk through the themed area while our breakfast was being ordered only to be stopped and told we need a receipt first before going through. I explained I had children and it was a good time for them to go for a walk while we waited but they wouldn’t budge. So we finally walked through at the end and my kids were tired and had enough. It was overcrowded and the staff made us feel like we were on a time limit and interrupted our conversations to constantly. It was disappointing because we have been here before and loved it

   Hi Cat, Sorry to hear you had a dissapointing visit on your recent experience. We do have a maximum seating time at the table to ensure all reservations that a pre booked are sat at their allocated time, however this should not effect your experience so I apologise you were interrupted, I will talk to the team regarding these issues so thank you for your feedback. Our laneways are for dining customers so a proof of receipt upon entry is mandatory, sorry to hear this effected your experience with your children. Hope we hit the mark on your next visit.    A very busy afternoon and as a result the venue was very loud. My friend ordered tea and was told they had no teapots or cups so could she have it in a takeaway cup, despite us being seated. Quite a few menu options were sold out and what we did order was almost thrown at us on the table. We usually visit The Potting Shed rather than the Cafe and I think I’ll be going back there.

   Extremely noisy, food was tasty but no better than pub food, service was poor, they forgot 1 meal and served 4 at our table of 5. The thing that drew us in was the garden experience but Claris was non existant and cheap Temu products sold in what once was a beautiful florist with 500% mark up. Not worth it really. All the hype for nothing.

    Grounds of Alexandria never disappoints. Good food, service and atmosphere. Always busy though so best to book ahead.
