Located a stone’s throw away from Coventry Railway Station on Warwick Row, The Lazy Monkey Bar offers something a little different to diners in Coventry. A modern design cosy restaurant with a relaxed atmosphere and tremendous vibes.

Items on the menu include a variety of Indian Specialty Dishes, Burgers, Wings, Loaded Mac & Cheese and desserts.

We serve a number of draught beers and ales, as well as an extensive cocktail and spirits offering.

Well what can I say about The Lazy Monkey Bar & Kitchen, we arrived at 6.00pm and were seated, we finally got our drinks and meal order taken at 6.20pm, after chasing up where our starters were they finally arrived, at 7.25pm I asked what I can assume was the owner/manger where our food was and he said that as we had order at 6.20pm it would take an hour, I did advise that we were seated at 6.00pm. Nevertheless we waited until 7.45pm where we then decided to get up and leave the restaurant, we went and saw the same person and said that it was shocking to have to wait this long and we were there for my sister in laws birthday and had travel from Wales to celebrate, he apologised and said he was short staffed and said he wouldn't charge for our starters ( we wouldn't of paid anyway ) - I can't say this is a one off incident as two other tables near us complained and said this has happened before. I have to say the two waitresses who worked that evening were run off their feet with no assistance, if what the owner/manager was true that they were short staffed then a simple solution would of been to reduce the number of tables for the evening and give the reduced numbers a good service. Also, customers should have a choice if they wish to sit on a table near to the door to the smoking area, personally we would of preferred not to sit where we were as the door was continuously in use ( nothing against smokers ) and we as well as other patrons felt we were sitting in a thorough fair and a continuous chill and smell of smoke coming in. We were really looking forward to dinning at this restaurant but unfortunately our simple expectations of good food and service were not met.

Excellent Indian street food with a helping of fusion added. We did small plates however were also on a small time frame to get back to the office after lunch so a little bit of a scramble however highly recommended!

One or 2 of our dishes were cold as there was a new chef on.They were sent back ….food was very tasty after it was reheated. The manager was great after we complained and was all sorted out really quickly. The service was great and the staff were friendly. We were offered a discount on our bill and a free bottle of wine. Very impressed….would return again.

I did not know that this little gem existed. It was booked due to a work lunch with my colleagues and I was very surprised at how delicious the food was and how much I enjoyed it in there. I woukd definitely visit again.

Had a table booked for 7. Received our first drink at 7.55. Finally got our food around 8.30pm! They said they were short staffed. Felt very sorry for the server who is always hard working but she was on her own. I pointed out they should have messaged and given me the option to cancel.

A great venue and beautifully decorated! The food was lovely, with plenty to take home too! Staff were really friendly, making the whole visit really good. We're definitely be back with family/ friends.

We had a lovely experience here, because of the timing, later in the afternoon on a week day it was quiet but that was ideal for us. Food arrived hot and we all enjoyed the variety of the dishes. The waiter was attentive and gave recommendations. The manager even asked which birthday song we want to be played when he brings out the birthday cake. Thank you for making the event special! As we were leaving the place was getting busier.
