An historic icon reborn, The Midland Grand Dining Room is a celebration of
French haute cuisine, now under the leadership of Michelin-starred chef
Victor Garvey. Set within the opulent St. Pancras Renaissance Hotel, this
legendary dining room has been meticulously reimagined for a new era with
refinement, theatricality, and unparalleled service.
The adjoining Gothic Bar, a late-night destination, offers exceptional
cocktails, rare absinthe selections, and elevated bar dining in an atmospheric
setting, under the stewardship of renowned Bar Manager Jack Porter.
Curated by acclaimed developer and hotelier Harry Handelsman, this
collaboration marks a bold new chapter for one of London’s most iconic

    Our table wasn’t ready when we arrived, but we were given a complimentary glass of champagne to have in the bar which was absolutely fine. The staff were fantastic, really informative and knowledgeable but also fun and dynamic. Had one of the best martinis I’ve ever had in my life, highly recommend. The tasting menu was delicious, especially the sashimi and the lamb dishes. I really liked the acoustics, it was busy but not loud so you could hear the diner with you.

    Outstanding cooking with the level of detail and imagination executed masterfully. Surprising little flavour-bombs on every plate. Service was exemplary, attentive and informative but not stuffy and overblown. Pitch perfect.

    We started dinner at 7:30 and did not get the final course until 11:00. The food was NOT outstanding and the service so slow that we had to complain. I spent the first 11 years in Maine and grew up on lobster, this was the worst I have ever had. Only 2 small dishes were memorable. We went because of the rave review in the Financial Times, I will NEVER trust a food review in the FT again. The toilet for those who are not so able is on the same floor as the dinning room, when I went there it was full and I had to limp and down 3 flights of stairs as there is no lift. When my able bodied wife went to loo, staff chased her and said go to the disabled loo why go up the stairs? Do they not know there is a special loo for those who need it? 3 flights of stairs and no lift! When they finally gave me the bill that I asked for they had given me a £129 discount, no doubt aware of the poor service and poor food. They then offered tea and coffee and the waiter said there would be no charge of course. We declined the offer and got out of there as soon as possible. Only for my wife to be sick and trowing up three hours later. I took my wife for her 76th birthday as a treat, some treat as she spent hours trowing up the food we were given. I will never go back nor will I ever believe a food review in the FT. You asked me how it was and my answer is Hell.

    Excellent food (Michelin star kind of food, in line with SoLa quality), presentation of the dishes is beautiful, excellent service, respecting the codes of service. Really quiet place, you can have a normal conversation without having to scream to hear each other. Only thing I'll say is you need three hours to go through the menu. A lot of wait between meals.

    We had such a lovely time from the moment we arrived. Everyone was so friendly and helpful, talking us through the menu - we had the seven course tasting menu, one vegetarian, everything was delicious and beautifully presented! - and the wine list, again, all the wines were excellent and reasonably priced!! Beautiful decor, plenty of space, would definitely go back!

    We had a lovely evening here, with a chef’s menu that was delightful and a wine pairing that was very well matched. The only feedback was that sometimes the service was a little bit slow and we waited quite a long while for our final dessert course. Otherwise we had a delightful evening with lovely waiters and a very well knowledged sommelier who made the night.
