The Mill was born in September 2013 around the idea that food should be simple, fresh and local.

Following a devastating fire, The Mill has been lovingly restored to reflect the charm of our local community. Over the past decade, we have sought to create a social hub for locals and a welcoming home from home for visitors.

Our menus are expertly crafted but refreshingly unfussy. Our dedicated team always on hand but never intrusive. We strictly use Fairtrade tea and coffee and ensure that our menus embrace the freshest produce from local suppliers.

Whether it is to enjoy a light snack, a special lunch or to simply spend a lazy afternoon with friends and a cuppa – our friendly staff will ensure you are well looked after.

    The Mill was faultless as usual. Opentable was a disaster. I gave my guest details to Openable. She clicked on the message they sent and she got bombarded with messages. On the day OpenTable set my phone to "do not disturb" without my permission (presumably this is hidden in the small print somewhere). It meant that I my guest could not phone me when she got lost. It got worse. A business contact from 400 miles away got her phoned phone blocked by Openable. THEY ARE NOT WORTH ALL THE TROUBLE THEY CAUSED!

    I met a friend for lunch and we both had the goats cheese salad which was excellent! The service was superb and we did not feel rushed at all. We will definitely be back! Thank you.

    Had really enjoyable lunch as per usual , cant fault anything about the food or the staff , especially when the staff went out to help my mum after she fell of her bike on the Fri n thanks to Lorna n Helen for staying with my mum till she got checked over by the ambulance staff before getting taken away by ambulance to ninewells hospital , staff are really friendly n helpful as well , has time to speak to there customers when while taken their order for there drinks n food , 😁been 3 times twice with my family n once with my pal since it was her very first time eating here n she will be back again for the food n drink found the staff helpful n friendly as well 😁

    Great food, great service, lovely place. Great knowledge of gluten free, very comfortable eating here as a coeliac, lots of choice too.

    We had a very nice lunch, the food was cooked well and the service was very good. A really nice experience and would definitely go back.

    we have not had the “Sunday special” before. It was good excursion from the standard menu- roast pork.

    Arrived on time, but only two of us, third person couldn’t make it, table was reserved so we sat down, despite telling the person we first spoke to there was only two of us, we sat for a short while and warmed the chairs, then someone came and asked us if we mined but could he split the tables so we were moved, money is more a consideration here than customers, we ordered and our meal of macaroni was delivered very quickly as was the side order of chips! The food was hot and the chips were delicious, as we were eating and chatting a waiter came to our table and almost rushed us to finish, which I did even though I was still eating, we were asked if we wanted coffee, we said no and then we both felt very uncomfortable, it was like you’ve eaten now leave, we want your table, not good customer experience, although the food was good unfortunately we won’t be back due to being rushed at our meal and table and the way we were treated, sorry 😢

    Friendly, attentive staff. Food was excellent and served quickly. Lovely atmosphere, warm and cosy. Will definitely be back
