WELCOME TO THE MULE.
We’re not your traditional Mexican place. We just happen to think that tacos are a dish best served fun, with a side of liquor. Welcome to The Mule, where tacos, tequila and bourbon come to party.
Located in one of Hamilton’s most beautiful spaces, we think we’ll be your new favourite lunch spot, your regular late-night haunt and your go-to destination for a good drink. Our bartenders have crafted a bourbon- and tequila-focused cocktail menu that will surprise and fascinate, and we also have a variety of beers on tap.
And don’t forget the food. From baja wings to brisket tacos, our menu offers an approachable and fresh twist on your favourite flavours from way down south. Our tacos range from classic Mexican to weird-and-wild-you’ve-gotta-try-this. All of our food is 100% gluten-free and we offer a variety of fare that is sure to delight your vegetarian and vegan side.

    Book your table for our March Rock 'N Roll Bingo night here, hosted by Hub of the Hammer! March - Boys, Boys Boys '80s Hair Band Playlist is all about big hair, loud guitars, and epic anthems. '90s Alternative Boys Only Playlist is all about capturing the angst, grit, and introspection that defined the decade’s alternative rock scene. '00s Boy Bands Playlist is a trip down memory lane filled with catchy hooks, smooth choreography, and all the heartthrob vibes that dominated the pop scene. Rock 'N Roll Bingo starts at 8pm, and with this booking your table will be reserved for the duration of the entertainment. Please book the appropriate sized table for your group/team, as we have limited availability to move bookings around to accommodate different reservations sitting together. Bring in a rubber duckie (any size) to add to our decor and be entered to win a MULE Tee at the end of the event!

    If you are looking to join us for a standard reservation on this evening, and you're NOT looking to participate in Rock 'n Roll Bingo, you're in the right place! Please note that your table will only be reserved for the standard seating windows (90 minutes for parties up 4 guests, and 2 hours for parties of 5+ guests). Please note that your table may overlap with our Bingo this evening, starting at 8pm. Participation is not required, but please anticipate a lively environment due to the other patrons. Only those who have booked specifically for Bingo will be guaranteed a table for the duration of the event.

    I have been to the mule many many times. Love the area, the place, vibe, design, art. Servers are always friendly, knowledgeable, attentive. Menu was minimal, but recent years there quite a variety of food and drinks.

    Our entire parry had a great time celebrating a birthday at The Mule. The food and service are consistently exceptional. A special thank you as we had forgotten something behind at our table and before we had noticed, I recieved a message from the team saying that they had found it and would keep it safe until we could return to collect it.

    Nice spot for lunch. The service was good, nice ambiance, great location and the food was good. A neat street in downtown Hamilton. I would go back.

    Went to bingo night and had such a fun time that we made another reservation to come back. I would recommend ordering the Ay Caramba spicy margarita and the brisket taco. Literally so good.

    The food here was (and is every time I go) outstanding. It's moderately priced, but a real value for the quality of food and service level you receive. Make sure to Bang Bang MFC it's outstanding!
