The National Hotel, located on Richmond’s bustling Victoria Street, is a place for locals and far-flung travellers to come together in a community-minded space, where the staff are always proud to serve and the atmosphere is heady with good vibes.

The original National Hotel was renovated in 2011, with the one-hundred-year old Victorian shell stripped right down to its bones. Internal workings were finessed with rich textures and colour palettes, delivering a high level of environmentally sustainable design (ESD) through the use of recycled materials.

The pan-Asian menu pays heed to our ‘Little Vietnam’ location, providing expertly crafted pub dishes that have been executed by our head chef Bobby Gogna.

Whether you’re up for a post-work drink, dinner date, drinks in the beer garden with friends or a function, we cater to all needs and our approach is always flexible.

Our Margy Fiesta was such a big hit we are bringing it back in March! We’re celebrating in a huge way on Fri 21 March! We’re serving $15 margs from 6–8pm, with surprise flavors that’ll make your taste buds salsa. Pair that with tacos and some sweet Latino beats from our in-house DJ till late, and you've got yourself one spicy start to the weekend. Really enjoyed a good meal here. Service was great. Only one small criticism, order Vietnamese’s cashew salad, which was good, but only got one cashew!

The food was really good, very tasty and matched the description on the menu. The service was also really good, very friendly and the staff looked after us very well. Happily recommend this pub.

Staff were excellent in terms of service. Food was good. Music was a bit loud at the cafe area though.

3 on our table had chicken parmigiana served with chips salad and we asked for gravy. Was good value. I had the eggplant parmigiana came with chips & salad I wasn’t impressed unfortunately. The eggplant could have been sliced thicker for a start and I would have liked to taste more cheese as the sauce took over. The salads none of us liked. We don’t like herbs in coleslaw. Thank you.
