   The meal wasn’t great. The shrimp starter was nice but I had the chicken supreme as a main and it was a bit cold, the chicken was dry and the potatoes dauphinoise was gross (a funny colour, not cheesy at all, almost like it had been frozen / reheated like gunge) . My partner had the steak pie which he says was tasty, a bit cold again and the pastry was very flakey. The service was good. I wouldn’t go here again. Disappointing.

   We were disappointed with our meal, when given our menus we were told that there was no Chicken Supreme, Steak Pie or Burger on the menu. This left little that I wanted, however I did have 3 small plates instead of a main course. The Orzo Carbonara and the Parma Ham Croquette both were heavy covered in grated parmesan which overpowered the taste. The staff were very helpful and friendly but the restaurant lacked any warmth or ambience.

   Based on some recent reviews I was apprehensive as first time dining here. However our experience was very positive. Ambient temperature was very comfortable tables are not crammed in , plenty space between other diners and very comfortable seating. From arrival we were treated to a high standard of customer service, attention and courtesy by every member of staff. Food portions , presentation and taste were very good. I will have no concerns about dining here again and based on our experience can recommend to others

   Slow to take order, drinks only arrived with the starter. Starter of scallops and black pudding was amazing, pizza tasteless and mostly bare, topping only in middle with lots of dough around the outside. Lamb shank needed a ton of seasoning. Didn’t bother to order dessert. Could have been so much better.
