   Easily one of our favorite dining experiences for a great date night. Definitely recommend for any special occasion. We had the calamari, crab cakes, rack of lamb, and sea bass. The food was all incredible! Cooked to perfection, great portions and beautiful presentation! We will definitely be back and will probably bring friends!

   **Restaurant Review: The Palms (Fresno)** For our anniversary, we decided to try The Palms, one of the few restaurants in Fresno we hadn’t yet visited. Unfortunately, our experience didn’t quite meet expectations. We had made a reservation, but despite that, we had to wait about 20-30 minutes for a table. Once seated, we were placed in the middle of the room, surrounded by two other tables—certainly not the most intimate setting we had hoped for, but it was all that was available at the time. The first issue we noticed was with the wine glasses. They appeared to have lint or dust both inside and out. At first, I thought they were just place settings, but when we ordered wine, the glasses were taken away and then brought back to us—unfortunately, still with the same issue. A quick swipe with a finger confirmed that the glasses weren’t cleaned properly. We pointed this out to the waitress, and she apologized and brought us fresh glasses with new wine. However, the new glasses still had the same issue, which was surprising. We didn’t make a fuss, but it seemed like the staff wasn’t properly noticing the problem, which was concerning. As for the food, we started with the Mediterranean Bruschetta, which was quite tasty and a nice start to the meal. For the main course, we both opted for the 10-ounce Prime Filet Mignon. While the steaks were a decent size, the quality and tenderness were disappointing compared to other similar restaurants in Fresno. Unfortunately, the filet didn’t live up to the standard we were hoping for, and we wouldn’t recommend it based on our experience. On a positive note, they brought us complimentary baklava for our anniversary, which was a lovely gesture and very delicious. I also ordered a Crème Brûlée for dessert, which was a good size and tasted great. Overall, while the service was friendly, the quality of food and attention to detail didn’t impress us.    We sat by the piano player, good thing our husbands are hard of hearing. It was very pleasant. Loved the music. Look forward to dining at that table again.

   They seated us in the back room away from the nicer spot of the restaurant. The ambiance would have been better if it wasn’t so. Other than that the rib eye was delicious

   Very nice atmosphere. Glamorous and nice full bar area too. We ordered chicken kabobs and Lulu kabobs Both delicious. Both came with grilled red pepper & onion, mushroom bulgur rice. More than enough food. We each had a martini cocktail. Very relaxing and lovely experience. I live in San Francisco and love seeing family in Fresno. The Palm is our go to place.
