Seventeen floors above the River Derwent, the Point Revolving Restaurant at Wrest Point radiates ‘special occasion.’ When the doors open and the view unfolds, you’ll understand why The Point has been a backdrop of memorable dining 40 years over.

This Hobart restaurant is committed to people, produce and place. Our French-inspired menu weaves some of Tasmania’s finest ingredients into a dining experience punctuated with theatre and flair. Like the sound of Crepe Suzettes cooked at your table with flair by our wait staff?

                              We went to New Year’s Eve 2025!dinner last night which cost $330 per person . Extremely disappointing not worth the money u did however have a few choices of beverages. The entertainment wasn’t great extremely old school style which was hard as my wife and I aren’t that old . Wouldn’t recommend this . We were told by some of the locals that go every year for the last few years that it was a very bad night comparison to the previous years .

                              For a relaxed and memorable meal to celebrate a special occasion or to soak up the beautiful Derwent River and it"s shores, this restaurant is amazing. We loved eating here for our special occasion.

                              Overall a very enjoyable evening. Staff were all very professional , attentive and polite. (Staff member OLIVE made our night even more enjoyable) My duck meal was not quite where I would like it to be given the cost and my expectation given everything else was very good, I was frankly a little disappointed Portion sizes were appropriate I would recommend dining here for special occasions
