The restaurant was at best fine however when you are charging $32 for a burger , $75 for a steak and $24 for a cocktail, you have to provide the premium taste, ambience and service level to match. I am not certain how often if ever the proprietor is on premises but I assume he would not have been impressed by the myriad of serving staff that gingerly stepped over and around a gentleman’s coat that had fallen on the floor for the 14 minutes it took for the patron to realize the situation. Save your money for someone that earns the prices they are charging.

Really nice spot and the service was really good, waiter very friendly! The starters were delicious. Two of our party had the shaved prime rib sandwiches which were okay. I had the chicken cob salad which was also just okay. Prices are quite high for what you are getting and I really want this place to succeed!

This low-key “seaside pub“ steers clear of being kitschy but does not deliver value for dollar as the food is simply mediocre and bland.

We have a home in the area and always support new restaurants in the region. As we drove up to the building we found it rather dark. There needs to be some lighting around the door to make the entrance stand out. We were greeted warmly and quickly shown to our table. The server was knowledgeable and helpful. We asked lots of questions and he happily answered them. Our food was delicious and came as a hearty serving. I had the delicious chicken and mashed potatoes and my husband had a filet with fries and onion rings. The fries and onion rings (these looked like donuts) were perfection!! The steak was medium rare and was exquisite. We will definitely go back. So happy to have a new spot on the water in Thornbury!

Great food and service and a pleasant ambiance on a Saturday night. The pickerel and Cobb salad were both wonderful. We will be back!

Nice room and decor, and a nice addition to Thornbury, but not perfect., Summer patio will be a treat with water views, but inside windows blocked by computers and service trolleys which is too bad. Aged beef display in the bar area odd. Service and food just OK.

There were four of us for dinner. We had to request a better table even though the dining room was 2/3 empty they put us right beside the servers station. we ordered cocktails they were fabulous however the prime rib was just not very good. The pickerel was outstanding. The Yorkshire pudding was far too doughy and the au jus on the beef was gone after three bites. The meat was gamey however the vegetables were amazing. My wifes birthday was not recognized even though they knew it was a special dinner. Server was friendly and professional. Fell well short of expectations.

The Port is consistently excellent! The patio in warm weather is beautiful and the inside dining is comfortable and warm. We really like the sound dampening installed in the ceiling. Makes a difference!
