The Potting Shed is a place to meet, eat, drink, relax and chat your day and night away – where hanging plants, terracotta pots and timber beams meet brass, brick and iron. Where you can plant yourself down on the swing seat, bench or at the bar and feel like you are on your family’s porch.

It’s a lively place where you can hoe into fresh, locally harvested produce, delivered by our shed-hands. The same hands that will deliver you good-natured banter, craft beers on tap, great tasting wines and unique cocktails.

The menu offers cozy share options for groups, three course substantial meal choices for those wanting to make an evening of it and a fun selection of nibbles for people wanting a light after-work snack with their cocktails or a share jug amongst friends.

The Grounds is located a 10-15 minute walk from Green Square station, which has frequent services to and from Central station and the CBD. Beautifully styled with candles & rustic terracotta elements, enjoy a delicious 3-course set menu feast! T&C's: - Semi-private dining with all guests seated at a high table. - Groups under 16 guests will share the table; 16+ guests enjoy exclusive use. - Reservations are for 2.5 hours. - Not available between 2:15pm and 4:45pm. - Guests aged 16+ must dine on the group menu. - Dietary requirements must be confirmed 48 hours in advance; we'll do our best to accommodate. - Cancellations require at least 24 hours' notice. - Capacity: 10-20 guests. - 10% service charge applies. - Styling and set menu may change without notice.

Our $75 per person share menu is in place for all groups of 10 guests or more with a 10% gratuity applicable to your final bill. Terms & conditions: - Our tables operate on a two hour sitting time. - Please note, our group menu is required for all guests in your party over 16 years of age. - Our group menu is not available from 2.45pm- 4.45pm, all reservations made within this time will be on our standard menu. - Any and all dietary requirements must be confirmed with the venue at least 48 hours in advance, and we will do our best to accommodate these requests.

The Potting Shed new menu is simple, yet the dishes were divine. It caters for all dietary requirements. My colleagues and I absolutely enjoyed the atmosphere, service and especially the food we ordered all cooked to perfection. Not overpriced and well worth it.

Had a wonderful time at The Potting Shed, they were very accommodating to make sure there was enough room for us to put the baby pram next to the table. Service was lovely and food was great as usual. The decor is lovely and very garden like with lots of plants hanging which was such a lovely atmosphere and gave baby plenty to look at. Can’t wait for the next time we go again :)

Service was poor. We waited 20 minutes after we ordered our drinks to our food. Drinks arrived slowly one at a time. Cocktails were nice. We didn't wait too long for food to arrive which was good. One of the bowls of chips was cold and under cooked. Other bowl was perfect. Burger was nice. Pumpkin dish was average and a bit plain. Was asked if I required sauce for my chips which I asked for ketchup - didn't arrive so asked again. Still didn't arrive and only after asking for a 3rd time did it arrive when I had finished my meal. Reluctant to try again as had the same experience previously but decided to give a other chance.

Lots of people, vibrant energy. Good food and great service. Prices are a little on the expensive side but thoroughly enjoyed The Potting Shed for lunch and The Grounds cafe for cake and coffee.
