The Prescott, located at the corner of Beech and Preston Street in Ottawa, is one of the oldest licensed drinking establishments in the city, with roots tracing back to 1934. Originally the Preston Hotel, it was renamed The Prescott in 1941, symbolizing its role as the last watering hole between Ottawa and Prescott, 100 km down the highway. During WWII, co-owner Giuseppe Costantini, an Italian-Canadian, was interned by the Canadian government as an "enemy alien," temporarily shutting down the hotel. Despite these challenges, The Prescott continued under the sole ownership of his partner, Antonio Disipio, and became a fixture in the community. Over the years, it has hosted family events, sponsored sports teams, and remained an iconic spot for locals. Today, it stands as a retro eatery, preserving its legacy and charm as a cornerstone of Preston Street.

Our server was great. We had a private party with twice the number of people we were expecting. She served everyone really quickly and always with a smile. Everyone was very accommodating. The age range was 8-75 years and everyone had fun. Games for kids, company and sports on screens for adults. The GM checked in with us to make sure everything was ok and have a free drink to the birthday girl! We'll be back.

Fun staff, great spot to catch the game! Par-Tee Putt in the basement is also a lot of fun.
