   Lovely welcome when we arrived and staff continued to be friendly and efficient during our visit One of the party has a restricted diet but he enjoyed his French fries and creamed leeks. I felt the portion was very small Good atmosphere as the pub began to fill up Enjoyed our visit and will go back.

   We first came here a few months previously after a visit to the theatre, and the food was so good we decided to come back for our Xmas meal. The food was outstanding again, I don't think I have ever eaten better in a pub. I had the duck rillette, followed by the venison, ending with the Xmas pudding. All of it was mouth watering, especially so the venison. The table service was exemplary, the staff were obviously taking pride in their work, and rightly so, given the very high standard of the food. One of our party has a food intolerance and the manager Anna (apologies if I have remembered her name incorrectly!) was most helpful. The overall service given was of the highest standard. My only criticisms were really out of the control of the restaurant staff. One was the very high background noise level, but it was the Friday before Xmas! The other revolved around the lack of Xmas menu choice for vegans, especially in the desserts section, where the only vegan option contained peanuts, the most well-known food allergen. The kitchen was restricted by the chain owners' set menu. Greene King take note!

   Nice looking pub, but food was very average and they didn't have half the dishes on the menu. Everything was reasonably priced.

   Really enjoyed visiting the pub, it was made much better with the service provided by Anna, Mark and Sacha, from the beginning of booking the restaurant to the end. Will hope to return soon.

   Everything fine except for allergies. I was told they have a very small kitchen and could not have anything on the menu. Staff was at least kind enough to allow me to bring food in.

   We all had the fish finger sandwich. Not sure how you can get that wrong but they did. They weren’t fish fingers. They were overcooked tasteless hard goujons of sorts. The tartare sauce was the oddest tasting sauce and the bread was hard ciabatta. All in all, all 3 of us thought the sandwiches were “rank” . Sorry to use that expression but that was the literal feedback. Even the dog spat it out it, which says something! Definitely need to improve. Birdseye would have been better and I’m a foodie! Service was friendly though.

   The best town centre pub in Kingston. Good beer and really lovely food. The fish finger sandwich is superb.

    I had the shepherds pie, so was expecting mash potato, meat, veg and gravy. I received a small round pie with a bit of meat, mash potato on top, with veg surrounding it. It was more like a starter than a main course. Very disappointing, especially as the cost for a main meal isn’t cheap!!!
