We did the DineLA 2025. Everything was delicious. I had the chicken, husband had the halibut. Reason for removing star...description said 1/2 chicken. It was only 1/4 of chicken. We were seated in bar area--but there was a draft even with the outside door (to the patio) closed.

There is a new menu. I had the potato leek soup, brick chicken, with vanilla ice. DELICIOUS. The atmosphere is always friendly and Alex was a perfect waitress but also a great friend. New to the Raymond family is Robin the new manager. This a wonderful and flexible restaurant. The food is innovative and tasty. We always have a relaxing and fun time at the RAYMOND.

Our first time there and it was great setting, food and service. We’ll definitely go back often. Live that is an old Craftsman style house and the patios. Thx for a special evening.

For years, this restaurant has been our go to restaurant for special occasions. Unfortunately, the New Year’s Eve the experience was subpar. They had a prefix menu for $145. While pricey, knowing our past dining experience at the Raymond,, this seemed OK for a New Year’s Eve celebration. We added one side dish of mashed potatoes and two cocktails and the total price was $471. It was not worth it considering some of the attention to detail that you would expect for a $500 meal was just not there. Let’s start with the paper napkins; the deep fried chicken chicken milanaise versus traditional pan fried! Several requests for an additional sauce or butter was ignored. A finally When we receive the bill, the waiter said don’t worry about the gratuity. It was included in the price. Much to my surprise it was not included in the price.! They added a 20% gratuity, i wouldn’t mind paying if the service warranted it, but it was not 20% value for the service. Very disappointing evening. I was not the only one to feel this way, as I over heard the next table over complaining as well. Well, historically, this has been a very good restaurant, do not get suckered into one of their prefixed menus. It’s not worth it.
