Booking online was easy and we received a confirmation text. The restaurant was easy to find. The welcome was great. The food excellent. Plenty of it, tender meat, freshly cooked veg, lots of gravy. The only thing we deducted a star for was the slow service. The food didn’t take too long, but waiting to get the menu and then place an order for desert was slow. But we’d definitely come back if we’re over that way again.

Excellent service and a good atmosphere. Quite busy but no delays. Food was of a good standard and all nice and hot.

A warm welcome as we arrived was appreciated and we were shown to our table straight away. We received excellent service throughout the evening with good food and a good atmosphere The food wasn’t too expensive and was well presented and very tasty Overall, we enjoyed our visit to the Rising Sun and we would recommend a visit to this pub restaurant.

Sunday lunch was superb, an observation I would like to make is could the bravery be served in a jug rather than poured already on the plate. This did not deter from a very tasty meal.
