We were catfished! Frozen potatoes, solid Brussels, microwaved puddings! The seating area was like walking into a care home dead and unloved decoration not very Christmas’ at all. Even the table decoration didn’t work! 5 courses advertised well we got 3 inedible ones! No sides offered as advertised. More staff were run ragged serving….yes we did tip them as it wasn’t their fault. When we complained the lady (who I assumed was the landlord’s missus) said she’d send someone up and sent a young girl and then a guy. Tbh I was expecting the landlord talk about pass the buck! Never again!

Plenty of food that was of very good quality and good value for money. Service was with a smile.

After waiting nearly an hour food came which was awful. There was no pork so had beef which was so tough you could not cut it, vegetables were either undercooked or overcooked. There was no horseradish sauce. Did complain but woman just walked off

Food was good, But wait of the food is bad. It took an hour to get our food.

im very sorry you had a wait we had a couple of large groups in but even then it wasnt quite an hour wait. i hope you give us another try soon show we can show the wait isnt usually a long one

We had Sunday dinner, a duo of meats, veg, potatoes mash and roast, Yorkshire pudding and own gravy jug. Lovely. Great value. Would have liked dessert but we were too full.

When we arrived there was a buzz about the place. We had booked a table for 10 people, to watch the ruby. We had a wonderful view to watch the game. The bar staff were friendly and very helpful. It was very busy but they had a smile on their faces the whole time. Some of the group ordered food and all of them said it was very nice and would eat there again. I did not eat myself, but I would say I would definitely feel it was a place I could go to with my girlfriends, and feel very comfortable and safe.

The food and service was good when we got there but a funeral party came in and there was still only one person behind the bar. This meant we had to wait a long time to get served at the bar again. This unfortunately let it down as they knew they were coming and should have provided for this.
