Nestled in a quiet park like setting, just 40 minutes outside New York City and 10 minutes outside Westchester County New York, in Stamford, Connecticut, The Royal Green resides within Sterling Farms an 18 hole public golf facility laid out over 144 acres of a once active dairy farm.

Although the food was very good and the wait staff was very pleasant, she was assigned more tables than she could handle. We were seated for 40 minutes before she even took our order. Also we were seated outside the main dining room which was disappointing and not comfortable

We went on a snowy night with two other couples. Had an excellent time! Alan, our server, was competent and very personable. The menus had a good range of options. Portions generous and the food quality/taste very good. Full bar with a modest, but well selected and fairly priced wine list. Royal Green has a lovely and well appointed space. It’s located just to the North of the 18th green of the Sterling Gold Course off Newfield Avenue in a lovely,, colonial style building.

I have been wanting to try Royal Green. It is a beautiful restaurant and the food was great. It just needs more traffic.

Our first visit to the Royal Green was quite pleasant. The restaurant is charming and the staff was exceptional. I had a Watermelon salad and my wife had Clam Chowder for apps and both were excellent. The bread and the relish served with it were very good! Our mains were Branzino and a Strip Steak special. The Branzino was excellently served filleted and delicious, my steak was very flavorful but a bit on the tough side. The sides that were served were all properly prepared and quite tasty. Dessert was a bread pudding that just melted in your mouth. All in all, our server Alain was very friendly and attentive and the food experience was good overall, we will definitely give this hidden gem another try in the near future

Excellent service from Hostess, Allen the waiter, Andrew the bartender (makes a fabulous drink) and wait staff. Food is delicious and ambience is beautiful. Highly recommend! Stop by for a drink and check the place out.

Restaurant is beautiful. Fantastic service and great cocktails. Food was uniformly excellent, but a bit on the pricey side. Then again, this combination of ambience, service, and outstanding and unique cuisine choices in this area these days is typically pricey, and it’s worth it at The Royal Green. The quality is right up there with the best in New Canaan and Greenwich. We’ll return!

The food and service were amazing. We went for NYE and they did a nice job. It is very expensive but we enjoyed it.
