The Story Bar is partnering with Australia's most-awarded sparkling wine brand, House of Arras, to launch an exclusive tasting experience on Hobart's iconic waterfront for the first time. Join us for a flight of the brand's most-revered vintages paired perfectly with bites from MACq 01's culinary team. Making their debut for the first time in such an experience, the 'Arras in the City' tasting includes: • NV House of Arras Blanc de Blancs • NV House of Arras Brut Elite Cuvée No. 1701 • 2014 House of Arras Grand Rosé • 2014 House of Arras Grand Vintage The wines and canapes will be presented on a custom-made Tasmanian Blackwood platter alongside a tasting storybook for guests to delve into the story of House of Arras and each wine.

Young Waiter / Bar person too chatty and even sat down with us us at one point. Older waiter perfect. Cocktails one average wall flower. Next cocktail sleeping Beauty divine. Cocktails $$$ Food Average serves small. Price good

We loved our visit, our sparkling wine experience and the welcoming and knowledgeable team! Such a fantastic start to our Hobart getaway. Sent the boys to watch the footy and the girls to drink bubbles .. perfection!

Overall was a great experience, we had the sparkling wine flight, great opportunity to taste and learn about the different types of sparkling, the pairings were fantastic. Definitely worth it.

My partner and I came down from Melbourne for my birthday and we wanted to bar hop for the last night. We happened to have stumbled onto booking the Arras experience at Story Bar while browsing and trying to look at menus etc. Turned out so well! Great area, great value, service was excellent. Special thanks and shout out again to James for the experience and lovely interaction/chats we had. We will definitely be back when we’re in Hobart again.

My friend & I went to the Story Bar for an Arras champagne tasting wh8ch included matching candles. We loved the experience, presented by Joel (?) Who 2as personable, knowledgeable & made tge experience interesting & fun.

It was an amazing experience. I took my friend for her birthday and she was blown away as she had no idea what was in store for her. Joel was fantastic and gave us the history of Arras with each glass. The canapés were to die for. I would definitely be coming back. Cheers Susan Kelly

Highly recommend. Asked to have only first two tastings poured to retain bubbles. Joel happily agreed and returned when we were ready for the next two.
