   Unfortunately today was not a good experience! I went to use the loo on arrival at 12.00 and there was a white bin on the sink, a sanitary towel unit on top of one toilet and the floor was extremely wet! We were told our table was no 11, which we went and it was unset, but table 12 was set so we sat at that one! My table ordered four steak pies which were tepid as was the chips, peas and cauliflower and the gravy! We mentioned this to the staff who just said Oh I’m sorry about that! I ordered four cold drinks to be served without ice. They all came with ice in the glasses so they had to be replaced!

   Went for Sunday lunch which was disappointing. One slice of pork, no stuffing or apple sauce. Spoonful of peas, red cabbage and potatoes with cold Yorkshire pudding.

   4 of us called in for a birthday meal and had a choice of menus to pick from. Could chose from the Monday-Tuesday menu or the Mexican menu (which is a Monday Special). We chose a mixture of food from both menus, all was delicious (garlic mushrooms, quesadillas, nachos, chicken fajitas, steak pie). We were even brought a desert with a candle in it for the birthday girl. Great evening.

   Being Mexican 🇲🇽 I expected the Fajitas to be sizzling and we were disappointed that they weren’t.

   It was a real treat to have the Mexican meal. We had a starter and main which was very filling. The sauce was a little too vinegary for my taste but would try an alternative next time.

    Excellent food & very good service. Toilets there do need some TLC but otherwise a lovely experience.
