   The Village Pub is a neighborhood gem perfect for special occasions. My wife and I celebrated our 22nd Anniversary with the prix fixe menu, which offers a broad selection of appetizers, main entrees, and desserts. The fennel and coriander-crusted tuna was superb, and the duck was out of this world. My wife immensely enjoyed the asparagus salad and the saffron-poached halibut. The wine list is remarkable, even if you select wine by the glass, as we did.

   What a great restaurant: delicious, innovative dishes with a classic presentation and service and an extensive and impressive wine list! While waiting for our table (we arrived early) I noticed a lobster dish that was not on the printed menu. I asked and was lucky that the lobster with fresh housemade pasta in a flavorful sauce with the perfect amount of spicy heat was still available. My friend (herself a chef) ordered the halibut which arrived perfectly cooked but the flavor was impacted by an ingredient not included in the description of the dish. When we explained the issue to our server, he immediately had a new dish prepared, without the overpowering ingredient. Five minutes later we were both enjoying our delicious entrees. We were almost too full for the dessert course, but... I lick my lips to the chocolate souffle with Grand Marnier cream. It is heartening in today's culture to find a place that is willing to go the extra step and make things right. Kudos to the chef and great team who make the Village Pub so fantastic! This was my first visit but definitely will not be the last.

   I took my aunt her for her 87th birthday. It was a fantastic experience. It’s been probably 20 years since I have been to a restaurant with such good service, food and ambience. It is pricey. A pot of mint tea was $20. I was glad I didn’t know until the bill came. Because it was one of those not very often in a lifetime very memorable experiences that I know my Aunt and I will remember with fond and pleasant memories. And I get that in this area it has to be expensive to pay living wages. Which I am guessing they do because there seemed to be good morale amongst the staff. The chocolate soufflé was A-MA-ZING!!!! It would probably be too noisy if the restaurant was full. Thankfully it wasn’t. I have celiac and they took excellent care of me!! Usually going out to eat is very stressful for me but I didn’t have any worries!! So I was just able to relax and enjoy it all. The service was so genuine and kind and gracious. So many fancy restaurants the service is trying too hard and is solicitous. The staff at The Village Pub is very professional and kind.

   We eat there often , but not lunch!! Service was way too long, however server was good. The $84 prix fixed was way too expensive. This restaurant is guilty of overpricing on expensive meals takeS longer and not so interesting as its’s FOOD IS overboard. This is finally why this restaurant is no longer on top, lt is really easy to make a reservation, which isn’t worth doing!! The word is OUT!! Wake up, but you won’t!!

    No opportunity to sit at the bar. Drink quality has decreased over time. Food and service was great
