                                                    We were particularly impressed by the service. One of our party has a severe intolerance, and the manager had previously gone through the menu with the chef and marked up problem dishes. He was then very careful about checking that there were no issues. He was also great fun and friendly. The food was tasty and good value, with stand-out puddings.

                                                    Our second visit to the White Horse to experience their steak and wine evening with our friends. The ambience and service were once again exemplary and our steaks and accompaniments were delicious. The wine choice was excellent. We will certainly return.

                                                    I had the gluten free roast beef option and it was delicious. The glazed carrots , cabbage and green beans were perfectly cooked as were the roast potatoes. The red wine just finished the meal off and I didn’t need the additional gravy. Only gluten free folk will understand the joy of a gf Yorkshire pudding! My husband had the pie with the veggies and skinny chips which he really enjoyed. My sister had the vegan mushroom pie with roasts and veggies which she said was a lovely meal. My brother in law had the vegetarian linguine with sun blushed tomatoes and garlic bread. He also said it was lovely. The service was really good and the staff are attentive not intrusive. The puddings were also yummy. Overall we had a great afternoon so thank you to all the staff and chef. Just a quick note- if you are vegan and booking ahead let them know because the vegan options sell quickly!

                                                    Absolutely gorgeous roast, super crispy roast potatoes, nice change from the anemic ones most establishments serve up. Super fresh vegetables. Good range of wines, beers and ales to choose from. Wonderful staff, especially the owner/landlord, super fast service , lovely chap, able to accommodate me with my fussy eating 😀. Dessert, we had the sticky toffee pudding, again accommodated my request for custard rather than the ice cream. This request had been refused in a previous restaurant, 'wrong time of the year' was the response we got. Just one tiny point, hot plates would be the cherry 🍒 on the top. Overall a wonderful meal, we're both looking forward to the seafood evening.

                                                    We loved the relaxed and pleasant ambience of the Inn. Our waitress was very friendly and attentive. Our order arrived promptly. The steak and ale pie, which was a proper fully encased pie, with chunky chips, vegetables and gravy, was delicious. We are now looking forward to returning to sample their Friday night steak night in the near future.

                                                    Good food at a reasonable price. We had a very pleasant waitress who was attentive without being intrusive. We will go again.

                                                    The waiter was warm and welcoming and we were seated very quickly. The atmosphere was relaxed and decor pleasing. We were a party of 5 and most ordered the beef roast. I am gluten free and fortunately they had a GF option. It was the best roast dinner I have ever eaten out. The meat was perfect as were the vegetables and roast potatoes. The GF Yorkshire pudding was so tasty as was the gravy. No grease on my plate! There were empty plates all round. The puddings were delicious as well. All round a perfect afternoon with my husband ou daughter and grandchildren. Thank you.

                                                    We were the only customers in the restaurant, so there was no ambience and the menu was a very lazy “bog standard” pub menu, comprised of “bought in” food eg steak & ale pie, scampi, lasagne etc. There were no specials or “home cooked” food. The desert menu was misleading also. I opted for the chocolate & salted caramel tart, which was actually a chocolate tart served with a salted caramel sauce!

                                                    Nice village pub, staff helpful and very pleasant and a good atmosphere. We had an enjoyable meal which turned out to be quite good value. Would recommend!
