The Yorkshire Bar & Grill is Situated In the DoubleTree by Hilton York just outside the Monk Bar. We are a friendly restaurant which takes pride in using high quality locally sourced products. Our Head Chef Tom has created an outstanding menu that shows our restaurant for its true potential, with lots of delicious signature meals and grill items

We have lots of special features within The Yorkshire Bar and Grill, such as our attractive café named The Orangery with an inviting courtyard perfect for Afternoon tea in the summer time.

Only one waitress serving and had the beat ages to be seated Restaurant was cold so we kept our coats on Food was ok but had to wait a long time for it to arrive after ordering

Party of 5 eating. Unfortunately only 4 meals came out, 15 minutes until 5th meal arrived which was cold. Lady serving us was very polite and apologetic.

We had a lovely meal. The service was great with the waitress being friendly and efficient. The fish and chips was very tasty and the sticky toffee pudding delicious.

Was very disappointed , our table was booked for8.30 and we was the only people in there , there was no atmosphere, also asked for a wine to have with my dinner , had eat most of meal before it came . Was told there was lots of things not on menu because they had a busy weekend , I class Saturday nights still the weekend . Food was good .

Awful experience. Mains served before starters. Burgers red in the middle. Had to wait 1.5 hours for food. Food was disgusting. Chips were frozen oven chips mainly all the dregs from the bottom of the bag. Would not recommend

The service from our waitress was outstanding, incredibly professional throughout and nothing was too much trouble. Food arrived promptly, starter was beautiful and the glass of fizz was a lovely touch as a birthday treat, thank you. The only disappointment was the main, meal my husband ordered the steak burger and it seemed a little sad and lost in the bun. My dessert of sticky toffee pudding was really enjoyable, only little let down was it wasn’t particularly hot. But on the whole a nice meal to celebrate my birthday.

We stayed at this hotel for two nights.and our evening meal was inclusive. Unfortunately on both occasions we were billed for the food.. This obviously took the shine off our experience, especially as 1 waitress said we had to pay , then claim a refund on checking out. Luckily after the waitresses seeking further clarification it was resolved . This discomfort could all be avoided by informing the waiters etc The reason I still gave them 5 stars is because on each evening , the girls were efficient and friendly at waiting on our table.

The food was the worst I have had in a long time I ordered a ribeye steak costing £28 this came with half a tomato and frozen chips. The chips were described as double cooked chips ! We’re definitely not double cooked straight out of the freezer. When I asked about the double cooked chips the waiter went and asked the chef. I was then told we are getting the double cooked chips in tomorrow. Surely charging these prices you could peel a potato, cut into chips and fry ! I’ve had better meals in my works canteen.

Dined here while staying at the hotel on business. Service was attentive but not intrusive. I ordered the Yorkshire Carbonara which was served piping hot and was rich and creamy and just the right sized portion. Would definitely eat here again.
