                                        コンビネーションをオーダーしました。とんかつは柔らかく美味しかったです。蕎麦は腰があるタイプではなく、つゆはかなり甘めで出汁も感じられず、アメリカに合わせたものと感じました。ビビン冷麺風の蕎麦は、本場韓国のソースとは違い、蕎麦合うように、もしくはハワイの人々に合わせた味なのかもしれません。とんかつ同様看板メニューであろう蕎麦は日本の蕎麦を食べ慣れている者としては、特に美味しいというわけではありませんでした。日本の方でしたらとんかつだけの方が美味しくいただけて満足感もあるかと思います。

                                        "We're glad you enjoyed the tonkatsu. We apologize the soba didn't meet your expectations. Our soba recipe, including the broth (tsuyu), has been intentionally modified to cater to the local Hawaiian palate. This means it deviates from the typical Japanese soba tsuyu in terms of sweetness and dashi flavor. We prioritize creating flavors loved by our local community, rather than replicating authentic Japanese tastes. We are pursuing our own unique style and are happy with the positive reception we've received from most of the customers. We appreciate your feedback and understand those seeking authentic Japanese flavors might prefer our tonkatsu.

                                        Food was delicious. Cost is reasonable. The service is probably the best part of the restaurant…excellent service, attentive, friendly, efficient. Location is great with ample parking at the building with Whole Foods (park on floor 4 and above). Table set up is interesting. If you want privacy, I would request a private table not the communal table in the middle. Make reservations via Open Table. Also, they have one bathroom with one stall for men and women. Overall will eat here again.

                                        We had a wonderful experience at Tonkatsu Kuro. Amazing food: tonkatsu was done perfectly, perfect crust, soft and delicate. The soba noodles were slightly softer than I like (I like al dente) but was still flavorful. The service was good and plenty of wait staff checking in on us. 10/10

                                        The food was excellent ! Keep in mind there is minimal interaction with waitstaff because you order your meal in an iPad and a robot serves your food. However, the little interaction we had with our waitress was pleasant. You get a pretty good amount of Tonkatsu compared to other Tonkatsu joints. The meat is TENDER, like cut with a fork tender. 10/10

                                        We ordered the couple set and bibim noodles with curry sauce. Overall, the pork cutlet was quite tender. The chicken katsu and shrimp katsu were tasty but a bit greasy. The bibim noodles helped balance out the greasiness. The overall atmosphere and interior were clean. One downside was that it felt like they were trying to rush us out, probably because the place was busy and there were other customers waiting. It would be nice if they also sold beer. Overall, I don’t think I would visit frequently!

                                        Excellent. My wife and I were very pleasantly pleased with our first visit to Tonkatsu Kuro. We both tried the somen and Tonkatsu combination dinners. Outstanding. Superb service by energetic and professional staff! The Tonkatsu was perfectly crisp, light, and tasty. The somen was absolutely delicious. What a welcomed new restaurant to the Ward area! Will definitely be coming back!

                                        This restaurant specializes in high-quality Kurobuta pork tonkatsu (loin and tenderloin), shrimp katsu, and soba dishes. The menu is simple, accessible via a table tablet, which is also required for ordering. We tried the loin katsu set, the kuro soba and katsu half set, which includes cabbage salad, miso soup, tsukemono, premium white rice, we ordered an extra bibim soba, and shrimp katsu. The shrimp katsu was crispy, light, and tender—a great recommendation. The loin katsu was also crispy, light, and tender, but it was missing flavor compared to Ginza and Tamafuji. The soba was good, and the dashi broth has a very rich flavor. Rice was excellent, tsukemono was good, miso soup average, and the cabbage salad was fresh with a good ponzu dressing. No cabbage refills. Each table has condiments, including tonkatsu sauce and ponzu. Service was limited—a robot delivers food, while servers assist. Our server, was friendly and knowledgeable, but water refills were missed due to busyness. The restroom situation is poor—only one gender-neutral stall with a loose sliding door and a slippery floor. The ambiance is clean and simple, with a communal table in the center and separate perimeter seating. The narrow walkway near the restroom can be congested. Overall the restaurant is good for katsu, but I was not blown away compared to the other premium katsu places on Oahu.

                                        The food was good but the service was the worst. The tall Asian gentleman with glasses didn’t say anything to us and when he gave us water, he slammed the glass on the table. There was also no explanation on how to order our food. No welcome at all!
