De pronto como amantes de la cocina estamos necesitados de encontrar en nuestra ciudad un lugar acogedor, pequeño, de caras conocidas y cálidas. Un ambiente relajado y fresco, que no sea pretencioso, pero sí inspirador.
Tostévere con una propuesta de cocina ecléctica y ambiciosa, ha ido cumpliendo expectativas altas de comensales exigentes. Algo que puede caracterizar al lugar, es la cocina “honesta”, tal cual la describe Antonio, quien realizó el menú. Porciones y precios correctos. Ticket que no destaca por barato pero que con gusto acabas pagando: productos de calidad, cocina trabajada, servicio de excelencia y calidez.

    The very small space is charming, the menu is very small, but creative. The food is delicious. However, our experience was not great. We arrived for our 1:00pm reservation, and there was a party of three waiting for the doors to open. It seemed the restaurant didn't have their reservation, so we were seated ahead of them while they tried to sort out the confusion. They were eventually seated at the bar instead of at a table. Our server promptly served us drink and took our food order. Then, the confusion must have been resolved and the party of three was moved to a table. After about 15 minutes, I noticed they had been served their food. As I watched, the server passed and caught me looking at their table, then turned on her heel and headed toward the kitchen. A moment later, she came back with our first course. Not a huge deal, so we enjoyed two interesting and delicious tostadas, then shared the only sandwich on the menu, a very tender and flavorful short rib with disappointing, soggy sweet potato "fries" swimming in some kind of herb pesto. Afterward, the server asked about dessert and, unusual for us, we opted for the flamed bananas with homemade ice cream. Then we waited. After about 20 minutes, we lost our patience. I caught the server's attention and asked her to cancel the dessert and bring the check. She hurried to the kitchen (?) and came back saying it would be another 3-4 minutes - which made us think she had simply forgotten to put the order in. I can't say how the bananas were, because we were tired of waiting, paid the bill and left. The overall impression we had is that the place is overrated. We didn't have one, but the cocktails looked very nice. The menu is small. You have to plan well in advance for a reservation, unless you don't mind sitting in a row at the small bar. The service was such that we won't go back.

    Could not stop eating. Kept on reordering and reordering. I thought it was all you can eat. They told that was all i could eat. Now save some for everyone else. Joking Loved it

    Absolutely delicious dinner. One of our best in SMA. We had the beet salad, & 3 tostadas (octopus, cauliflower, & steak with cheese). Perfect amount for 2. Will definitely return. Highly recommend.

    Amazing dinner ... perfect spicy margarita (great spice level, not too sweet and authentic tasting); wonderful, fresh food and fun atmosphere. Loved it!

    Hands down our favorite dining experience in San Miguel! We loved everything we ordered! We practically ordered everything on the menu! :-) The service was excellent and loved the vibe! The next time we visit San Miguel, we’ll be going back to Tostevere!!

    We loved the whole experience of Tostevere. The food was amazing, and healthy choices were available. The specialty drink they made was contagious around the room. We ordered one because they ordered one, and our neighbors ordered one because we ordered the Black Mamba! Such a fun and delicious experience. A culinary delight in a tiny restaurant with friendly staff, complete with impeccable service; we enjoyed great neighbors at the next table, yet enjoyed our privacy at the same time.

    Love the food here, but service was not great. We waited over an hour for our orders which got taken before 3 other parties but served after they received their food. The staff knew it happened but said nothing about it. This is the 4th time we have dinned at the restaurant and I think we will take a break. This was not the first time we felt the service was less than satisfactory.
