We booked a 7:15 reservation for New Year’s Eve 3 course dinner. We got there a little early but were seated right away & we ordered drinks while we waited for the last of our group to arrive….
Our server was kind and apologetic and kept the drinks flowing. we were understanding and of course still tipped well, but everything took SO LONG. We opted for the $3 bread basket add on to hold us over, which didn’t come out until our lukewarm first course- at 8:30 pm. The chestnut soup was a good portion, foie gras was too.
The food was all fine flavor-wise and we enjoyed it as much as we reasonably could despite being cold and a super long wait.
Our entrees didn’t hit the table until 10pm. I had the surf and turf for a $20 up charge (menu online said $15) which again was cold but tasted fine. The entrees were all huge, and they looked great! Dessert was fine, the terrarium was chocolatey and basically a refined dirt cake from childhood (no complaints I love that stuff), and the guys seemed to enjoy the fried cheesecake.
We paid and left around 11:30 pm after all was said and done. While the food was decent, the timing was abysmal for our meals to still be cold when we finally recieved them. In short, I may return to try again, but not for a holiday or special occasion.
