Our Blonde is a great session beer with an amazing aroma thanks to copious amounts of US Citra hops. Light in colour but full strength, this beer will appeal to those who truly appreciate a strong American style hoped beer
Our Squealing Pig APA is a fairly traditional American Pale Ale. Big hops, Big Bitter and a balanced malt profile. If you like big American Beers this should be right up your alley. Possibly our most controversial beer to date. If you like it, you LOVE it and if you don't
Starting with a heavy malt base, this is a very big, rich and full bodied, traditional style Scottish Strong Ale. That has been finished with Willamette Hops. Cannae be drunk unless ye be brave of heart. For, they may take our lives, but they'll never take our freedom, to drink beer!
Our take on Ginger Beer. It's unique and different because, well because it tastes like Ginger Beer. Ginja Ninja has a few tricks up its sleeve though, at 5% tasting like a soft drink it has the ability to sneak up behind you and punch you in the back of the head when you least expect it!
Inspired by traditional English Red Ales. Tim got addicted to these beers years ago at a wedding and insisted on one for Tumut River Brewing Co. It only seemed fair that since Tim loved this type of beer so much and Tim is by all accounts a Redneck, it should be his Redneck Ale
Hopped as Bru is a tribute to our Kiwi mate Ian, Ian's home brew batch inspired us. It's basically an Australian Pale Ale, a light golden coloured beer with hints of wheat jam packed with Nelson Sauvin Hops, A big Kiwi hop with a fantastic mellow wine taste. While this beer is quite bitter you would never know it. The nelson hops do a fantastic job at balancing it all out
Malt-driven American pale ale
100% locally sourced Riverina malt pared with generous Australian Cascade hop addition, creating a very easy drinking and refreshing pale ale with a lovely golden hue, malty character and subtle floral and citrus hop aroma and flavour. Highly sessionable beverage
Our Aussie (Australian) Ale was to be our un-named beer but it was just so damn Aussie that we just had to call it out Aussie Ale. It is a draught beer at 26-IBU (International Bitterness Units). It's golden brown in colour and quite heavily hopped with Citra for a beautiful fruity finish. It's full of flavour but easy enough to drink....it's the perfect "chill out drink". You can have just one or half a dozen. Funnily enough our Aussie Ale started its life as a version of our blonde, it wasn't what we were looking for in that beer but as it developed it became too good to let go of
Beer by Bad MoFos, in honour of Bad MoFos, for consumption by Bad MoFos. What? You're not a Bad MoFO? Try drinking this. We double dare you! Say what again?... This is our Take on a West Coast IPA. Originally a promotional brew for the Tarantinos Band, but due to popular demand it is now apart of our permanent collection
Let's be honest Red IPA's are all the rage at the moment and while we like to think of ourselves as immune to peer pressure we really like them… So we decided to whip one up. We did try to keep our independence though. We have taken the malt base (more or less) from our Redneck Ale then bittered and hopped the heck out of it! Only we've used some really unique new hops which has created a surprisingly mellow but prominent hop profile. You'll get hints of mango and citrus with a strong malt backbone. It's a unique and very drinkable beer. So what do you get when you cross our redneck ale with an IPA and Americanise it with a heap of hops… Can anyone else hear banjo's playing?
Our Mid-Strength J.W. Pilsner is a refreshing beer best suited to a hot summers day, bitter enough to to be refreshing but smooth and easy to drink. Legend has it that there was once a man with the initials J.W. who inspired and even insisted on this creation and as a tribute J.W. Pilsner was born
Our Australian Smoked Porter. We use cherry smoked grain along with quite a few others to create a dark brown porter with fantastic smokey overtones. We leave the hops to a minimum and let the cherry smoked grain tell the story
A tantalisingly tart flavour with a crisp medium dry finish
Our Pink Lady Cider is a lightly sparkling alcoholic cider made from the best snow-country Pink Lady apples. With its pale pink hue and elegant bubbles produced by natural carbonation, our Pink Lady cider has a refreshingly tart flavour and a clean medium to sweet finish
Made in Gunaroo
Like his legendary counterpart on the tuckerbox, Rusty the Jack Russell terrier waited eagerly to greet visitors to Borambola Homestead. His passing meant his pudgy, city slicker brother, Scruffy, now stands guard in his place
Barellan's own locally grown, community owned beer. A crowdsourced project that took premium Barellan grown barley and turned it into this approachable easy drinking golden ale. Lightly hopped with Centennial and Cascade to compliment the honey like malt character from our fresh locally grown commodity
During the medieval period in Europe, oats were a common ingredient in ales. The oats produce a silky-smooth and full bodied stout, which in the words of Goldilocks, "It is just right"
We developed our Dunkel for Oktoberfest and we think is was fantastic. Its a dark German lager aimed at being as true to the traditional form as possible. We think it was spot on and we really enjoy a cold glass when we have it on

When producing an Australian pale ale single hopped with Australian Galaxy the nerd in us had to come out. Enter Hitchhikers Guide to Galaxy! Hitchhikers is a more complex beer than the flavour may lead you to believe but that's the beauty of a well-designed complex beer, it's not complex to drink. So the next time you find yourself trapped in the airlock of a ship in the Vogon constructor fleet, Don't Panic, grab your towel, have a beer and pray that our infinite improbability drive manages to keep us from getting sued… So long and thanks for all the fish!

In the cool climate wine area of Murrumbateman just outside Canberra, using lychees because of their universal appeal and vibrant and refreshing flavour and distinctive aromas, Lychee Gold has perfected the unique blend of lychees, sweetness and alcohol to produce a delectable boutique cider in its purest form
Lychee Cider that is very drinkable and very refreshing
Our Pink Lady Cider is a lightly sparkling alcoholic cider made from the best snow-country Pink Lady apples. With its pale pink hue and elegant bubbles produced by natural carbonation, our Pink Lady cider has a refreshingly tart flavour and a clean medium to sweet finish
A refreshingly fruity taste with a medium sweet finish
A tantalisingly tart flavour with a crisp medium dry finish
A classic dry style of rose that emulates the more traditional cabernet sauvignon based French rosé. there is a hint of strawberry and cherry along with a dash of lychee and cassis on the nose and front palate; however a small amount of fruit tannin on the back palate creates a refreshingly clean dry finish that is long and balanced
Cool Climate. Handcrafted. Clean. Balanced. Melon. Strawberries. Crisp Acidity
Bullet scars in the walls of Old Borambola Homestead remind us of a visit by the notorious Irish-born Australian bushranger Captain Moonlite (Andrew George Scott). After his first release from goal, he turned his attentions on accruing enough ill-gotten wealth to flee the country for good. Captured by police in 1879, hanged in 1880, he never realised that dream. Hiraji, foaled in 1943, was a New Zealand-bred Thoroughbred racehorse. Raised and trained in our lush paddocks, he was best known for winning the 1947 Melbourne Cup. Hiraji was then spelled back to Borambola which is now home to our Shiraz. We scoured near and far for a great Pinot Gris, and found this little beauty just around the corner. We are the first place to stock it and are very excited for you to try it!!
The late harvested Muscat of Alexandria grapes create a delicious floral aroma. Lovely delicate palate, with Turkish delight and tropical fruit. Lively and refreshing. GOLD 2016 AWC Vienna International Wine Challenge
In 1920 the future King Edward VIII known as 'the digger prince' travelled half way around the world to pay homage to the Armed Forces of Australia. During this arduous and exhausting visit it was recorded that the Prince took time out and spent several days resting at Borambola. AWARDS 2008 VIII Silver Medal (2009 Forbes Wine Show), 2008 VIII Silver Medal (2009 Cowra Wine Show
The old wishing well at the rear of Borambola Homestead still bears the thumbprints of the hands that made its bricks. Unable to sign their names, the thumbprint identified the convict and determined how much they would be paid for their work. The well was the original water source for the homestead; these artesian waters are rich in mineral flavours and carry some of the characteristics similar to those found in the Wishing Well Sauvignon Blanc. AWARDS 2008 Wishing Well Sauvignon Blanc Silver Medal (2009 Forbes Wine Show), 2010 Wishing Well Silver Medal (2011 Cowra Wine Show)
In 1887 two Bunya Bunya trees were planted in the front lawn of the new homestead. Majestically they still stand tall giving welcome shade from the summer sun. Bunya Bunya trees are unique and rare, qualities we thought appropriate to take pride of place on the label of our Chardonnay. AWARDS 2000 Chardonnay Bronze Medal (2002 Cowra Wine Show), 2001 Chardonnay Bronze Medal (2002 Cowra Wine Show), 2002 Chardonnay Bronze Medal (2003 Canberra Regional Wine Show), 2003 Gundagai Chardonnay Bronze Medal (2004 Cowra Wine Show), 2006 Bunya Bunya Chardonnay Trophy "Best Single Variety White Wine" (2007 Dubbo Wine Show), 2006 Bunya Bunya Chardonnay Silver Medal (2007 Dubbo Wine Show), 2006 Bunya Bunya Chardonnay Bronze Medal (2008 Cowra Wine Show), 2008 Bunya Bunya Chardonnay Silver Medal (2009 Cowra Wine Show), 2012 Bunya Bunya Chardonnay Bronze Medal (2014 Canberra and Region Wine Show)
