The Turks Head is the oldest pub in the heart of Penzance town. Unspoiled by contemporary design and décor, this soul-soothing, local pub offers a fresh, seasonal menu coupled with local craft beverages, all of which can be enjoyed in our shanty style, west-country setting. Our secret garden is a hidden retreat that begs for any passing explorer or local Kernow folk to enjoy.     The Turks Head is such a cosy traditional pub. The atmosphere is relaxing and welcoming thanks to the attentive and friendly staff. Our "Sunday lunch" was lovely. What more could you want.

    Gorgeous food ,friendly staff generous portions ,loads of veg ,perfect Yorkshires.so glad I chose here .Prebook tho as they turned loads of people away .Cannot recommend enough .Couldnt fit a pudding as as so full up.

    We absolutely loved dining at The Turks Head and can't wait to go back again! The staff were lovely, service was quick, the food was really good and the atmosphere was great.

    Gap between main course and dessert was a lot longer than expected but it didn’t diminish our dining experience. The bar drinks were much more expensive than anticipated but again it didn’t diminish our dining experience.

    Had an amazing experience at the Turks Head. Such lovely, friendly staff, especially a lovely lady with long dark hair (with all the jewellery which my daughters loved!)- didn't get her name sorry! She was so good with with my young daughters. Nothing was too much trouble, she was happy to move us to an indoor table and to serve us earlier than we had booked. Food was all delicious, especially the sticky toffee pudding, and was all such good value for money. Amazing pub, loved all the original features. Would definitely return when next in the area.

    One of the worst dining experiences I have had. Booked a table to avoid the disappointment of missing out on a Sunday Roast. Arrived early and were given a table and drinks promptly however after multiple tables were seated after us they were all served before us. After 20 minutes of waiting and no service the final straw was when a table who came much later than us were served and they had the last of the beef roast dinners meaning the whole reason for our visit had now gone due to the staff forgetting about us. After hearing the news we promptly went to pay the bill and were only given an apology for a complete lack of service and missing out on what we had booked a table for in the first place. Will never return and will advice people to avoid so they do not get disappointed like us.
