   Unfortunately, this restaurant took us on a wild goose chase around DC. The first location is not the actual location of the restaurant it’s closed thankfully the woman across the street told us the new location. however this is a takeout brunch served and take out containers and the restaurant does not look like the pictures. the food was OK however still not like it looks in any old social media videos or TikToks

   The food was good but everything else was unexpected. The whole serving meals in a to go container took me for a loop. I was expecting actual plated food and silverware not plastic cutlery. It made table space very limited. I wouldn’t go again.

   Uncaged mimosas was disappointing to say the least. They recently changed locations so the location that is located on TikTok or the website is not the correct address. The host was very nice and made us feel welcome. Their new location is small and did not have working air conditioning. The food was served in to-go containers and plastic silverware although we dined in. If anyone was to come to Uncaged mimosas I do think they would be slightly disappointed in the ambience. The food was nothing special and some of the food was colder/ hotter than others. I am all for black owned businesses but I think this restaurant would be better if they looked into making their restaurant an express food place rather than a restaurant to dine in. There was no space, and barely any seating. I would say the most they could fit is 16 or 20 individuals if that. I can only speak from what I observed and maybe in the future they will have everything together, but for my experience I would give it a 3/10 overall.

   We made a reservation and when we got there the address shared with us was an incorrect address and nothing stated they moved. We sat outside the old location because we took an Uber. Called the restaurant to tell them I had gone to the wrong location and they said they were still open but the kitchen was closed. We got to the correct address but hungry and annnoyed and nothing on the outside said uncaged mimosas. The new address was a shady bar and the door said OTR and the guy standing outside said yeah this is it. Went upstairs to about dimly lit building where the only good thing about this place was the sweet and easy going bartender! The music was loud and the guest were trashed my drink got knocked over multiple time. The kitchen staff agreed to make us food and we were grateful it was advertised on their website and instagram that Wednesday was 10 dollar wings. When we saw the total was 60 dollars for the food it was alarming we only ordered one order of wings and too fries. All and all we had a bad experience but if you have to go make sure to tip the bartender good!

   Very underwhelming. Food was served with plastic containers and silverware which resembled a Carryout spot. You ordered your food and beverages online yourself. There’s so many unnecessary additional fees that do not match the level of service or level of expectation you would expect for what you’re paying for. I spent $82 and cannot say it was worth what I received. it took them 15 minutes to seat me, I had to stand by the hot door the entire time. It took 20 minutes for a server to acknowledge me. I had to ask for water three times. It took about 30 minutes for my mimosa to come out and I was less than 20 feet from the bar and it took 55 minutes for my food to come. And for me to have spent $80 for everything (including all these fees) there’s no way this should have been my experience. It was tacky and underwhelming

   The food was decent, but don't go based on their website because you aren't getting anything close to that! Your food is not served on plates, everything is in to go packaging. You get no actual service, you have to scan a qr code and order and pay up front, they were out of a lot of items, and they don't have a drink menu like their website, only mimosas and the main liquors that you can get juice, they charge extra if you want it neat. It was small and cramped, did not go upstairs. Had to ask for water several times. The Brussel sprouts were good, everything else was nothing to write home about. On the table they tell you they charge a 20% service fee in lieu of tipping, but when you go to pay, it says the service fee doesn't include the tip. This should just be a to go establishment because it was not worth the experience, at all. 20% is way too high for the service we got.

    Went for happy hour and the food and service were great. Will be coming back to try brunch.
