We are a local, independent restaurant giving diners a touch of charm and elegance but also with a casual and inviting atmosphere. We strive to offer diners a friendly, accomplished service and, most importantly, an interesting high-quality menu using fresh locally sourced ingredients wherever practical and possible.

Vegetarian as well as fish and meat dishes are a standard feature on the menu. Kent’s farmers and growers feature strongly as our main suppliers of organic and free range poultry, meat and other fresh produce.

Kent vintages feature heavily on our wine list along with a wide selection of wines from around the globe.

The deserts were outstanding, steak a little chewy. Fabulous friendly staff who were very attentive although service was a bit slow. Would go again and not have steak.

Bistro X is a real hiddden treasure in Deal. The food is incredibly good and very reasonably priced. It's a nice intimate restaurant and the service is relaxed and unobtrusive. They serve the best I have ever had cocktails and the wine list is exceptional. I can't fault this place it's, for quality and value it can't be beaten.

Our second visit, and will be back when next in Deal. Friendly and attentive staff, great food and the perfect level of music but not too noisy to chat. Particularly enjoyed the Veggie Dahl main course, and the crumble!

A wonderful dining experience in the heart of Deal. Delicious sea bream and the Affogato was a particular star. Thanks to Rob for his kind attention to detail and great wine choice.

The menu items include a variety of high quality dishes and a great wine list. The service is easy going and the restaurant warm and inviting. Whatever you choose, you will find lunch or dinner a pleasure.
