Fuimos atendidos por Branislav, el cual nos recomendó pizzas y un muy buen vino, definitivamente volveremos, si estás en Chicago y quieres real comida italiana lo recomiendo 5 estrellas 👌🏼

                                                                      You quickly forget you’re sitting in a market. Service and food was great. The branzino was cooked perfectly and my husband enjoyed the polenta board. All the pasta padding smelled and delicious. seating was rather tight, we actually met a lovely couple sitting next to us. Was a great experience.

                                                                      With its new pop-up name ALPINA transporting us to the ambience & atmosphere of The Alps, we savored the $55.00 Valentine prix fixe menu that included two of our favorite pasta dishes: Cacio e Pepe & homemade Tagliolini with Wild Gulf Shrimp. The sole choice of the heart-shaped dessert of puff pastry with chantilly cream & diced fresh strawberries just clinched everything to make our Valentine’s day celebration memorable. Having us seated at our favorite server’s, Derrick, section, is always quite a treat to render credence to the hashtag: #eatalyisalwaysagoodidea.

                                                                      Was looking forward to our dinner, there was 5 adults, 1 child- the 2 liked their pizza but the other 4 dishes weren’t great. Pretty expensive and very loud. Service too a really long time- need more servers.

                                                                      The service was very good. Our waitress was knowledgeable and always provided quick service. The bruschetta was different than I’ve tried in the past but it was good and the honey made it sweet. We went for restaurant week so it was a good value for the price point.

                                                                      We dined during the Alpine Winter pop up and the polenta dishes were wonderful. The gelato for dessert was also great. We also had the fonduta which was served cold with a tea light candle to heat it up and the bread was almost not chewable. It was February in Chicago but it was SO hot in there. I wished I had worn short sleeves instead of a sweater. I don’t know if they’re trying to give you a Rome in summer vibe or what that was about. Overall, it was pretty good for authentic Italian food. I would just skip the fonduta.

                                                                      We ordered a Kale Salad, which was absolutely excellent. I really enjoyed the Bruschetta as well. The bread was buttery and delicious, and the truffle honey mayo were positive editions to the palette. I also had the Pappardelle noodles, which to me stood out as a must-try dish. The noodles were prepared with care, and the subtle hints of parsley paired with the mushroom ragu made for a beautiful dish. The breaded chicken breast was simply okay. While the chicken was tender and moist, the spinach was overly salty and greasy and the chicken had perhaps a bit of a strange taste. Lastly, we had the panna cotta, which was comped for my birthday, which was really a treat! The desert was light, and was a nice ending to the meal.
