Volare's Italian Restaurant, in Rutherford, is a local favorite for its exceptional Italian cuisine made with fine ingredients and served in a warm and charming setting. The mussels bianco in a sumptuous white wine sauce and the carpaccio di manzo sliced raw beef with provolone, capers and arugula make delectable starter choices. Some of Volare's Italian Restaurant's specialty entrée dishes include the spezzato murphy chicken sautéed with mushrooms, onions and cherry peppers, the sogliola con polpa di granchio fillet of sole topped with crab in a buttery white wine sauce and the vitello alla Toscano veal scaloppini with prosciutto, asparagus and fontina cheese. In the mood for pasta? Enjoy a hearty plate like the meat-stuffed tortellini in a white vodka sauce.Keep in mind that Volare's Italian Restaurant has a BYOB policy, so be sure to grab your favorite bottle along the way.

    Food and service were fine but everything was a bit overpriced. Had a really bad cappuccino - I definitely expect more from an Italian restaurant. A little sad to see the warmth and welcoming atmosphere is no longer present.

    Where do I start? Calamari was very good. The fuscilli in vodka sauce was delightful. Tartufo for dessert is a must! The service was exceptional and Andy was very pleasant and attentive. We will definitely return and highly recommend! Exceptional value!!!

    Our party of six enjoyed the food, service and overall dining experience. Great to have a traditional Italian restaurant in Rutherford that delivers quality food, attentive service at a good value.

    Just went back to Volares after the new ownership and we could not be more impressed! Everything we had was absolutely excellent! The owner was so nice and the service was outstanding. So happy to have a fabulous classic Italian restaurant back in town! Will be going back often! Perfect dinner!

    What a great experience at this fine establishment. When we first walked in, we were greeted by the host and took us to a nice table. This restaurant is BYOB buy very nice Waiter opened the wine chilled for us and took care of it. Appetizers main course and dessert are to die for. Homemade cheesecake which hit the spot we had to order one more. This will become my regular spot from now on. Thank You Andi and everyone else

    My first time dining at Volares and the service was incredible. Amazing hospitality from Andy. The food was perfectly cooked and served. Great experience.
