   The customer service was exceptional. Our waiter seated us for our reservation, almost immediately. He was warm and constantly checked on us throughout our meal. The drinks were amazing! My friend had the matcha lemonade cocktail and said it was unlike anything he ever tasted. I had a cocktail that was special made by the bartender and likened to a Manhattan. Unfortunately, the same cannot be said for the food. While I was excited to try this Japanese and soul food fusion, it wasn't really much of a fusion. They basically added miso to anything they couldn't really meld together. Also none of the food came out hot, it was all mid temp which is wild considering they were only a handful of tables seated. The biscuits were light and fluffy with an amazing miso honey butter that was to die for (honestly best dish). The miso mac & cheese, was okay but nothing to thrill about. The katsu chicken curry was similar to that of a smothered chicken with the curry resembling more of a gravy consistency. I wish there were stronger depths of flavor here. The shrimp and grits were good but also room temp, even borderline cold. None of the food really stood out which is a shame considering the concept.

   We were all party of 3 and stay near the window. Our server Kevin was GREAT! He periodically checked in to make sure we were doing OK and made sure our table was cleared. Amongst us, we had the mac and cheese, biscuits, fries seasoned with cajun and furikake, and shrimp & grits. Everything was delicious! The mac and cheese by far took the "favorite" award. I had the Gumbo Ramen and it was good. My only suggestion would be to find a balance of seasoning and broth. It was a bit salty for my preference but I would definitely recommend for anyone to try it. We all had around of "So fresh, So Clean" (actually 3 arounds) and two arounds of "Spicy Honey". They drinks were yummy and not over powering of alcohol. Thanks for having us!

   I was absolutely pleased with the quality of customer service and the meal. My sister and I had the steak skewers (lemon pepper and sriracha honey). They were both fantastic - but the sriracha honey was my favorite. It was "Brown Sugar" night so the restaurant featured the movie, Brown Sugar, and then the plated speciality was Brown Sugar Rice Noodles with Ginger Chicken. OMG! It was the best meal I have had in a long time, and I am not a noodle fan! The sauce was unforgettable. I would definitely order it again! The restaurant definitely is a VIBE. It turned out to be the "calm" after a hectic day at work! Love love love it!

   A great new gem in DTLA! Came on a quiet week night and received excellent service. The music was great and the menu has sold vegan/vegetarian options and dishes that can be made vegan/vegetarian. We got to chat w the owner since it was a little slower and we are super excited to have something new in the neighborhood. It was a little darkm but also kind of perfect for a date night

   This was the worst restaurant experience I’ve ever had in my thirty-something years of life, anywhere in the world. The only nice person was an African American lady, but the busser with long dreads was the rudest I’ve ever encountered. The food took over an hour to arrive, and after our appetizer was served, we never received any utensils—I had to call the server just to start eating. And when the food finally came, it was dry, gross, and completely disappointing. Trust me, this was the worst restaurant ever. I usually don’t bother leaving reviews, even after bad experiences, because I think it’s a waste of time, but this time, I felt I had to warn others.

   According to my bartender, This guest came into our restaurant (inebriated) on Valentine's day, argued with his partner at the bar and then also began to be physically aggressive once seated at the table, making many groups of people uncomfortable. I let this guest know upon arrival there was a back up due to the holiday. He was happy to wait and was served drinks. This guest was seated and served in under 30 minutes from the time of order and this can be verified via security footage. When food was dropped off, this guest was told I was going to get utensils and he proceeded to start banging on the tables and throwing tantrums, making both tables around him very uncomfortable; the other tables even started consoling me because this guest's behavior was so irrational and mentally off.

   Love the music and the vibe here. The shrimp and grits was awesome. My friend had the curry and they really enjoyed that as well. Would definitely visit again in the future
