The Waxins moved from Sweden to America over a decade ago and as they settled themselves in and the years passed, the family felt that there was something missing in their life. After careful thought and consideration they decided that it was time for America to enjoy the full Swedish experience when it comes to food and design. Their vision was to create a second home for themselves and all of our guests. They have strived and succeeded in making Waxin’s a go to spot for authentic Swedish and American food and craft cocktails in a beautiful atmosphere.

                                      Staff is overwhelmed and undertrained. Waited nearly 30 minutes for our cocktail order. After waiting nearly 60 minutes for our food order, we cancelled our orders and left. Cigar smoke from adjoining building was overwhelming.

                                      Was sat right next to the hostess stand. Service was awful. We received our appetizers before our drinks. We had to ask for table water. I had to go ask the bartender Eder for my glass of wine. The waitress was just not strong enough. I witnessed 3 guests complaining to the hostess while the restaurant manager was MIA. He should have been attending to tables. So disappointed.

                                      Wait staff service was ok. The kitchen took far too long to have dinner prepared. We were early and thought we could beat the crowed. Waited for a long time to be served dinner.

                                      Too much noise from center court and speaker system, we were seated outside. Server had too many tables to take care of so service did not meet expectations. Food was very good, especially the cod and meatballs and drinks especially the hot shot. Flat bread was nothing special but ceviche was great. High top tables were ok but chairs were tricky to position and felt like we were sliding off.

                                      Restaurant was beautiful. Very comfortable outside seating. Charcuterie board was sparse. Only 1 kind of cheese. However rest of meal, cocktails and wine selection were very good. The Beef Rydberg- was tasty.would recommend carmelizing onions better. Shrimp in toast points was outstanding. Meatballs-such a large serving and lingonberries were a tasty addition. Cod was also very good. Will be back.

                                      The servers were amazing - we had Cameron and Lucas - and they made our night. The food was delicious and the meal was served at a nice tempo. The atmosphere was unique - modern and subtly energetic. Overall great soot to dine.

                                      Not the Valentine’s Day experience we were looking for. Seabass came out twice cold. Wife ate her whole meal as I sat and waited. $65 for the sea bass - not up to par. Maybe because they are new to the area. Comfortable place, service was fine.
