Westerns Laundry is a Michelin Bib Gourmand restaurant focusing on seafood & natural wines. The restaurant is located in the Islington/Highbury neighbourhood of North London. It opened in 2018 and is housed in a 1950's industrial building which used to be home to the largest commercial laundry in North London. It now boasts a beautiful 60 cover dining room, which opens onto an open 20 cover cobbled courtyard with olive trees as well as an intimate private dining room. Westerns Laundry has won numerous awards for excellence and originality and is a firm favourite on the London dining scene.

Great experience all round but the service was exceptional!! The menu changes daily, but I think there are always lots of plant based options. If the Jerusalem artichoke, onion & raclette dish is on the menu, this is a fantastic riff on traditional Swiss raclette! Loved the concept of shared tables, plates to share, good and reasonably priced wine list.

A nice meal in a very crowded restaurant. Enjoyable but glad I hadn’t booked a romantic dinner!!

Overpriced food & wine, food tasteless and some dishes overcooked. Very dissapointed we were expecting so much more.

We love going to this place and enjoy the food greatly. It’s also close to Emirates Stadium, which makes it convenient for match days. One criticism is the prices seem high generally and particularly on match days.

Sensational meal. I often find these small plate type gaffs a bit underwhelming. Absolutely not the case here. The cabbage with Anchovy and Tuna was salty but fresh and well textured. The Cod cooked to perfection and nice and simple. The whipped cods roe was heavenly. Music was well considered and not too loud. They made a few very very basic errors which were easily rectified (like bringing the wrong starter) and the knocked off the desert without asking. 10/10.

We had an early dinner with my godmother (who is coeliac and FODMAP) and WL was so accommodating and helpful. The food was delicious (and they also catered off the menu for us!), service personal and friendly, and atmosphere gorgeous and cool as per. Huge recommend.

Always a joy to visit Westerns Laundry. The food is second to none, with an oft-changing menu. The service is fantastic (very friendly and knowledgeable) and the atmosphere relaxed and buzzy. A really lovely restaurant.

Great dining experience! Friendly, knowledgeable and helpful staff, very warm ambience (and it was freezing outside!), and really interesting food. Not the cheapest, but all 6 of us thought it stood up very well against city centre restaurants.
