Booked Mothers Day especial table for 2pm, got sat at 2.50pm Ordered food at 3pm.
When food had not arrived by 3.45 I approached the bar for the first time to enquire. Was told started would be out by 4pm
Made my second trip to the bar at 4.30pm to enquire where the starters where, told they'd be there soon. They arrived at 4.35pm, 1hr 35mins after ordering them
Empty starter plates and glasses stood on table long after we'd finished with them, waiting staff came and went and not one noticed the table or made references or apologised for the lateness of food. We took the glasses to the bar at 5pm and asked about the mains.
The mains arrived of varied temperature and delay at 5.10pm. Mostly inedible.
I trundled to the bar, again. to complain, was given a refund of mains, nothing else.
We made the ill fated decision to stay for the third course we'd already paid for. Was told it would be out by 5.30pm
We ordered 4 apple crumbles with custard. The apple crumbles arrived at 5.45pm that were horrible with a (and I kid you not) thimble full of custard.
We finished and left at 6pm
Terrible experience, terrible food, terrible customer service.
The manager was seen shouting at her staff front of house which as a paying customer, should never be seen.

Firstly, I want to apologise that we did not deliver what we set out to do on Mothers Day by giving everyone and fabulous experience on this special day
We limited bookings to ensure we delivered great service on Mothers Day but with a mix up on areas booked, tables ended up being released as 'available' and with people either turning up late or early we failed in our promise to you.
I take full responsibility but can also confirm that we have looked into how these issues happened to, 1 - ensure we minimise issues happening again and 2 - what we say we will do, we deliver.
I would therefore like to invite you back to sample our new menu and would like to offer you a 25% discount by way of a goodwill gesture
