I went to this steakhouse on Valentine’s Day, understanding it would be busy, but the poor experience went far beyond that. I made a reservation three weeks in advance, yet was seated at a high-top table in the bar area—not what you’d expect for a special Valentine’s dinner. Still, we focused on enjoying the evening and overlooked the seating issue. It took 15 minutes to get drink orders, and when the drinks finally arrived, we ordered an appetizer. The server suggested ordering entrées right away, citing kitchen issues. We agreed, ordering two steaks and three sides. The appetizer (fried goat cheese) took over an hour to arrive and was bland and unappetizing. After waiting 45 more minutes for our entrées, we asked for an update, noticing others who arrived later had already finished and left. Eventually, we were served bread, which was the best part of the meal—though that could be because we were starving. After more delays, our food finally came, but it was deeply disappointing. The steaks ($55 each) were thin, overcooked, and not the quality you’d expect at this price point. The risotto was flavorless, the mac and cheese was dry and unremarkable, and the Brussels sprouts were completely raw under melted cheese. For a meal that took over two and a half hours, it was an absolute letdown. Poor food and service at this price are unacceptable, and this was easily the worst high-end dining experience I’ve ever had.

I will start by saying our app and ribeye tasted great. My wife liked her salad. The Brussels sprouts were bland and undercooked. The steak is overpriced in that it doesn’t come with a side and they make you buy “sides for two” to make more money. But the real rub is that their truffle fries are battered. There is nothing truffle about these things. Just a mound of unnecessarily breaded potatoes soaking up extra oil and filling their guests with unnecessary gluten. I asked that they remove them from my bill, which they did. I won’t return despite the steak having good flavor and being cooked to the right temperature. No self-respecting “chophouse” should batter their fries, even in Cullman, AL.

I never write reviews but this was one of the worst experiences I’ve had. My wife and I waited for over an hour and a half before being notified that our ticket had not even been started yet. They said one table caused the kitchen to be backed up but that’s not a viable excuse in my opinion. One table should not cause that much of a disruption in your service to where multiple tables left. We were very much looking forward to trying this restaurant and unfortunately, we won’t be back to try again.

This restaurant had the chance to be a fabulous restaurant and started out pretty good. We ordered a side as an appetizer to start with, which was bacon truffle, mac & cheese, and it was phenomenal and unlike anything I’ve ever had at a restaurant. The bacon in this side was quite possibly the best bacon I’ve ever had in my life anywhere. The waitress was very soft spoken, but extremely friendly and doing her very best. It just became difficult to understand what she was saying and I think she was learning as she went so it made things a little more challenging but still okay. The steak was burnt up when I got it and was not a high-quality cut of meat and very fatty, even though it was a ribeye and they’re known to be fat heavy, this one was exceptionally fatty and well overcooked and definitely not the caliber of a high-end restaurant nor the prices they were charging for said steak. Overall, I think this restaurant is over charging for the quality of their main dishes while the appetizer was quite impressive. It did not make up for the disappointing main course. I think it’s fair to say that this restaurant is very pricey for the quality of food that you receive.

The service was VERY VERY slow. We waited 45 minutes before even getting our salads then about the same amount of time after that getting our meal. One of the people that I was with did not get her meal with the rest of the table. They offered no explanation other than “it will be out soon”. After everyone else was completely through eating they brought hers but she refused the meal. The food that the rest of us had was good but we won’t be back.

We were looking for a nice steakhouse to meet family from N AL & B’ham for a celebratory dinner. Wissota had good reviews & we made reservations. We headed up early to have drinks prior to dinner. We did have a little trouble finding the restaurant - it is in the Coblestone hotel - and drove past before we saw the small sign. Once we arrived, we sat at the bar waiting for others to arrive. Emma took care of us, told us about menu items and made a fabulous martini. For dinner we moved to the dining room & Jacob took care of us. We started with charcuterie and bone marrow. The bone marrow is served with pickled onions & chimichurri on the side. So you can dress it to your taste. I love the marrow! From there, we all wanted steaks! We had the filet, ribeye & porterhouse. All were seasoned great and cooked to the requested temps. Sides are served family style (for two). We had the whipped potatoes and asparagus. Both were wonderful. The Bday boy even got carrot cake for dessert. Great hidden gem in Cullman.

We were the only table and the slowest service, and the food truck hadn’t come so they were out of a lot of items. But has a cool vibe, and the food was good.
