Tacoma’s newest waterfront restaurant, Woven Seafood & Chophouse, is a Roy Yamaguchi concept owned by The Puyallup Tribe of Indians. Woven celebrates a rich fusion of culinary traditions, honoring Yamaguchi’s Japanese heritage and pioneering Hawaii regional cuisine, along with the traditions of the Puyallup Tribe and the bounty of the Pacific Northwest.

What made the evening most enjoyable besides the incredible food, was the personal service by the waitstaff. They were attentive without being intrusive. Zac and his team set the bar high for other dining experiences. Zac was engaging, funny, and offered dining suggestions. Both food and service at Woven will be hard to beat. My daughters and I have a girls dinner every Wednesday. Woven will be on repeat!

Seemed to be understaffed. 25 minute wait if we wanted dessert. Noisy. Hard to read menu in dark. Seafood pillows disappointing. Salmon roll and short ribs memorable.

Order the Miso Blackened Cod. You won't be sorry. This is our third dinner at Woven. This time, we brought 4 additional people, one of whom routinely eats in high end restaurants around the world. All of us enjoyed our meals and got to sample each other's food. Woven is quickly becoming our new favorite restaurant in Tacoma.

A wonderful meal for six of us celebrating a Birthday Boy! Our server (Amber, second time in 6 months), was a delight and only added to the amazing food she presented us — All of it was spectacular and the view cannot be beat!

Service was excellent, though it has opened only recently. That’s a great sign! Most dishes were excellent. However, The mushroom pasta was overcooked and the pesto had an unexpected and unlikable cruciferous quality. The short ribs were not done to that fall-off-the-bone quality which is so desirable. The hamachi crudo was perfect, as were the baby back ribs. The oysters were fresh with great accompaniments. The cocktails were all excellent, especially the CPG? Something like that. A bourbon concoction with a decidedly herbal bent. The ribeye and the bavette were cooked to perfection and the sides were enjoyable. A particular stand out is the chimichurri. I wanted it for dessert. Desserts were delicious and a great treat to top it all off.

Beautiful venue, great service. We loved our appetizers (crab artichoke dip and burrata) but our fish entrees were all really overcooked and dry. For the high prices, they need to deliver on the quality.

First time at the restaurant our server, Patrick was amazing. He was on top of everything provided us with valuable feedback and suggestions on the menu was attentive. Overall experience was superb. Will definitely recommend and would go back soon.
