Tacoma’s newest waterfront restaurant, Woven Seafood & Chophouse, is a Roy Yamaguchi concept owned by The Puyallup Tribe of Indians. Woven celebrates a rich fusion of culinary traditions, honoring Yamaguchi’s Japanese heritage and pioneering Hawaii regional cuisine, along with the traditions of the Puyallup Tribe and the bounty of the Pacific Northwest.

Outstanding food. Had Black Cod & Short Ribs. Loved everything but where we were seated, in one of the booths that line the kitchen. Noisy and too cafeteria-ish with no ambience. There were some other individual tables in the upper level that I felt were the same, with bright lights shining on them. Cold and impersonal. Down in the lower level there was nice, darker lighting with soft, individual candles on the tables. Way better atmosphere. I felt with the higher cost of dining there, the upper tables were unfair especially since when we made our reservations it was completely open. When we eat there again, which we will bc of the delicious food, we will request the lower level.

We showed up early, got seated quickly (by the manager, who also delivered our meals to our table), service is top notch, informative, attentive and pleasant. The food was excellent, great appearance and flavors, I was able to cut my pork chop with a butter knife. I look forward to our next visit.

My friend invited me there. Nice place very elegant higher end. Small portion was perfect for me. Food was unique and expertly prepared. Server was so nice as were all people there. thank you for a great experience. We were seated right by large window with view of Commencement Bay. Wonderful. Will go again next time. Steven.

Food is next level amazing. But something needs to be done about the noise and also the fact that it feels like you’re in Ikea.

Our group of 4 had a nice start with a dozen Pacific oysters and a bottle of brut rosé. The salmon and the hamachi collar were outstanding. The misoyaki cod was rich and decadent and served with a tangy succotash and a Wasabi sauce which offset it nicely. It was a top-notch evening.

The food was OK. Not worth the money especially for the scallops, 3 scallops for $37… yeah. A ribeye that costs $62 should have seasoning.. there was none. Cooked perfectly to Med Rare but bland as hell. The Seafood pillows (4 tiny pieces) tasted nothing of seafood mainly pork. The seating was awkward in a two person high top. It was very loud to the point of obnoxious. Seem like a cheap casino restaurant. Kinda a $240 disappointment. We won’t be returning.

An absolute 5 star experience from start to finish. Excellent food, outstanding service, great vibe. I do wish they had more vegetarian options, but the few items they had were delicious. Highly recommend!
