Me and my boyfriend got the Yakikami Omasake worth $150. We sat at the counter which was entertaining as we can see all the chefs cooking. The menu for the Omasake were just 2 dishes of sashimis and 1pc. baked oyster, 1 stick grilled mushrooms, then the rest were just 6 chicken based dishes - 2pcs grilled chicken wings, 1 stick grilled chicken tail which were pure fat, hence we didn't eat it altho the manager was really nice and exchanged it with chicken oyster (chicken part with at least meat on it), grilled chicken thigh pieces, grilled minced meat which has a mushy texture - i thought it was raw inside but the chef confirmed that it's cooked; chicken ramen; and a spicy 2 small slices of cold chicken in a very spicy sauce which is unusual for Japanese dishes. The grilled meats were just seasoned with salt and pepper except for the meatball that was dipped in teriyaki sauce. For that price, it would have been nice to have Beef or Lamb. Chicken is cheap especially the parts that were served to us (wings and tails). I don't think the whole set is worthy of the price. The dishes were too oily too, especially the grilled ones because of the chicken skin. We went home feeling a bit overwhelmed with the chicken dishes. Chicken chicken chicken. The chocolate "cake" doesn't have a texture of soft spongy cake. It is hard and chalky. The cheese cake was okay - not too sweet as common in Asian desserts. Overall, you pay for the experience; the food was just so-so.
