   Our second visit to Yolon and it might have even been better than we remembered. Starting with the Amuse-bouche that woke up our taste buds. Wow! So good. This was followed by the Pizza Romano. I don't know how to describe something so simple and yet I can't figure out how they got every ingredient and flavor perfect. I had risotto cooked and seasoned just right. My wife ordered a salad. A salad?? Yes, she raved about it. This was not the "big salad from Seinfeld". She raved about the honey in the salad. What a great touch. The meal ended with an Aperitif. What an ending. We don't live in the Nashville area. We flew to Nashville for a weekend at The Joseph and an amazing experience at Yolon. We'll be back to see what the Chef's team has prepared for our next visit.

   This is one of our top "go to" places for special occasions but last night we went for a wine dinner - the first time we have done that and it was AMAZING. The food was outstanding and well paired with the Ashes and Diamonds wines. The service was top notch and the room was perfect for the event.

   We had the best time experience hosting a work dinner at Yolan! The food was phenomenal and timed perfectly and the ambiance was lovely, I’d recommend asking for the private room for a business dinner as the noise level was low in there.

   The food was fantastic and it's no wonder they get so much recognition. First we had bread service. Normally I do not eat the bread -- I try to save my calories for other things but the server said it was made in house and was amazing. She was right. I tried to get by eating just a half a piece but had to eat a whole -- and we took the leftovers home! All the pastas are made in house . I had the gnocchi which has a sauce that was made with milk. My husband had the tagliatelle which has a white sauce and veal and said it was the best tagliatelle he ever had. ( And we have been to Italy a number of times.) Normally I don't eat dessert either but splurged because it was our anniversary and their pastry chef has received a number of awards. He had the pear tart which he loved and ate every bite. I had the buttenrcake with vanilla ice cream and butterscotch sauce. It was only manners that kept me from liking the bowl. And they were so kind and sweet to us for our anniversary. The only downside is the decor is nice but it feels very hotel lobby -- because it is an adjunct to the hotel Joseph lobby.

   There are meals, and then there are experiences — and Yolan is nothing short of the latter. My girlfriend and I returned for our second visit this year, hoping to relive the magic of our first dinner. To our delight, this visit didn’t just meet expectations — it surpassed them in every possible way. From the moment we walked in, the staff welcomed us with the kind of warmth that makes you feel like you’ve come home. We were there to celebrate my girlfriend’s birthday, and without missing a beat, nearly every member of the team made sure to extend kind wishes, small gestures that spoke volumes about the heart of this place. Our server, Jan, was extraordinary — the kind of person who elevates a fine dining experience into something personal and unforgettable. Jan’s genuine hospitality, deep knowledge of the menu, and attention to every detail made us feel like honored guests rather than just another reservation. His presence was calm, kind, and full of intention, and he effortlessly guided us through each course with care and grace. The food, of course, was sublime — every dish a poetic blend of textures and flavors that left us speechless. There were long, quiet moments at our table where words would’ve only disrupted the artistry unfolding on our plates. And to our surprise and delight, the chef generously sent out a few complimentary dishes — each one a masterpiece we won’t soon forget. Yolan is the rare kind of restaurant that doesn’t just serve food; it creates lasting memories. Between the impeccable cuisine and the heartwarming service — especially from Jan and the entire staff — this is a place that truly deserves a Michelin star.

    Outstanding experience. Food was delicious. Chef came out and spoke to us because things apparently were delayed (we didn’t realize and were having a nice time). Added his personal story to our dishes which we loved.
