Located at Yosemite Valley Lodge, the Mountain Room Restaurant boasts striking views of the 2,424 foot high Yosemite Falls. The menu is equally impressive, featuring sizzling steaks and fresh seafood. The chef’s specialties include local, organic & seasonal preparations including sustainable fish and seafood in accordance with the Monterey Bay Aquarium Seafood Watch List. The Mountain Room Restaurant is open year-round.

Our dinners were delicious. The menu was varied, so that our group of seven with various dietary needs were easily accommodated. My steak was rare and the salmon was moist. Altogether a good experience.

Impressive. Greeted warmly and seated promptly. Service well informed and attentive. Trout was served on lovely bed of potatoes and vegetables; salmon was a hit with my husband. Cocktails were perfect. Best in the valley

My dinner of salmon was very good. The only complaint is that the crust was heavily salted. After removing it the meal was delicious. The waitress was very friendly. I’ll probably go back tonight.

Not deep on the menu but to have a well cooked and delicious steak dinner in the middle of yosimite is unbelievable. The 7 oz prime sirloin is a great value considering.

The vegan option - stuffed acorn squash - was divine. The garden soup was tasty but was mostly tomatoes, so kind of "one-note." My husband enjoyed his steak dinner and we split the salted caramel-apple cheesecake which was very, very good. We enjoyed all of the staff we interacted with, looking at the wonderful photos, and being able to sit down and enjoy our meal promptly even though we arrived early.

Reservation was at 8pm Saturday. Girlfriend ordered the salmon and loved it. Not dry. Rice needed worked but not a biggie. I ordered the NY strip medium rare and it was delicious and was tender. We both were really impressed.

Service was slow over an hour for a steak and hamburger. And the hamburger was cold and overcooked when it got to the table.
