The name Zacatlán surged from the origins of our chef, Eduardo Rodriguez. He was born in Zacatecas, Mexico (north-central Mexico), which is defined as "the habitants of the land where grass grows". Zacatlán is the nahuatl translation for "land with an abundance of grass", and that is where our idea of Zacatlán Restaurant began.

Zacatlán Restaurant desires to continue to preserve the traditions for our upcoming generations, while bringing forth new flavors. These new flavors incorporate Southwestern and Mexican influences. We are established near the Santa fe Plaza, right off of Guadalupe Street. We want to unveil a new fusion of food for everyone in Santa Fe and those who visit.

First time to visit this cute restaurant. Went for lunch and had a nice table. The restaurant was small and quiet and was perfect for catching up with an old friend. The Mahi Mahi tacos were great and the chips are seasoned and delicate. My friends had the avocado toast and the Mole Enchiladas and both were wonderful. Would love to go back for dinner.

We have been regular diners at Zacatlan for more than three years. Often for lunch, less often for dinner. Fresh, consistent and pleasant always describe our experience. This time we came for Valentines Dinner. The fixed menu looked lovely but we have our favorites which start with the poached pear salad which we think is the best salad in Santa Fe. That was followed by the lobster mac and cheese and the lamb shank. Both were absolute perfection served by Jose. The new "outside" dining area is very nice too. It was a busy evening but the staff did a great job of keeping things on schedule. One last thing - I know everyone in Santa Fe makes their own tortillas but Zacatlan makes VERY good tortillas and salsa!

Amazing flavors and beautifully presented food. The sauces were exquisite. One of the best restaurants in Santa Fe.

As long-time patrons of Santa Fe restaurants, we were delighted to experience this new gem on the Santa Fe restaurant scene. The food was excellent and clearly all freshly prepared inhouse with none of the processed feel of some dishes that one often experiences in restaurants these days. The yellowfin ceviche was exquisite, and the boneless short ribs were tender, very tasty, and moist.

A fantastic Dinner in a very unassuming atmosphere. The food was exquisite, gourmet level. The waitress was very attentive to our every need. I highly recommend for this restaurant!

My wife and I reserved a table for dinner as we were passing through Santa Fe. We loved everything we had there. I had the yellowfin ceviche, and my wife had the pear salad, both of which we loved. She had the Red Snapper which was delicious with a spectacular presentation (see photo). They fileted all the meat off the fish for her to eat with the toppings and kept the fried body of the fish on the plate in a circular statue. Thankfully the waitress recommended the Chili Relleno for me, and I absolutely loved it. It was exactly the type of meal I wanted to have in Santa Fe. It was authentically Mexican. Drinks were good as well. Nice evening meal.
